    First Season Teething Pains

So, I finally got everything sorted at the boat yard on Friday; new thruhull fittings and fresh coat of bottom paint and go back out of the camber and my steering was seized! The ONE thing that I hadn't checked when I bought the boat or when I was refurbing it. Luckily there was a guy at the...

    transom bar for 22' Cruiser

Hey all, Here is "my" solution (I think I saw it here somewhere): http://www.c-brats.com/modules.php?set_ ... _photo.php There is another picture in my album of it down. I also plan on making a table to fit over the transom well which will attach to the "kiddie flap". I also have an extra...

    The Best Marine Head

@ThatAway, that is too funny. There is currently no discharge facility in Bermuda that I am aware of. When I had a 32' Tiara I wanted to pump out the tank during my first season and couldn't find anywhere (and I'd would have found it). I ended up going off shore (which is almost everywhere)...

    The Best Marine Head

So, I have been getting a lot of suggestions from folks regarding removing my flushing marine toilet on my boat. Personally I don't like having thru-hull fittings and seacocks but have had them on other (larger) boats with no issues. My question is IF I remove it, what to replace it with? I...

    Locating water in the hull?

Both my rub rails were in very bad shape and definately contributed to water getting into the cabin. Rebedding them properly took a few hours per side, the biggest pain in the butt was getting the rubber back in the rail. I used bolts and oversized washers on the inside to insure I got a good...

    Bennett Trim Tab Reservoir

Hi Tom, thanks very much for the offer of the shim-very kind. It also speaks volumes for Bennett!! I am happy to pay for the shipping especially as I live in Bermuda. If you can email me at dojomouse@yahoo.com I will send you my address, phone and Fed Ex account number. Thanks again and kudos...

    Bennett Trim Tab Reservoir

Thanks Dennis. I filled the reservoir before I mounted it and installed the level is on almost "empty". So, if I understand you correctly I need to "overfill" it so that mounted the level is correct right?? Thanks in advance! Peter
