    Raymarine "drain" wire question

How about just using a temporary clamp (alligator clip whatever) to attach it to an easy to get to/best you can find ground and see how the system performs? You may be battling ghosts.

Raymarine DSM300 "Watchdog Timeout Reboot" code

Hi Jim, It has been a conundrum, but not one that is keeping us from going where we want. :) I have been very careful about sequence and have tried the switching on and off several times. I will though double check the light behind the knob thing as I may not have every time. It appears to...

Raymarine DSM300 "Watchdog Timeout Reboot" code

The sounder unit for my E80 seems to only want to give a reading when at a dead stop. Looking at the LED code blinks it is shows a "Watchdog Timeout Reboot" code. A Google search did not really come up with answers, only more questions, anybody seen this before?

Priness Cove - Wallace Island - stern tie?

Princess Cove is different than Pirates Cove which is on De Courcy Island. I have done a stern by myself but it was in a place where I didn't have to worry about drift while setting the stern tie. Another option if you have a secondary anchor is dropping it off the stern while you go ashore.

    Camperback zipper question

Sunbeam, I just checked Wild Blue after getting here to Nanaimo and it looks like the zippers do contact the gelcoat but I see no ill effect. Perhaps Jim can chime in as to whether he made a point of not zipping all the way, but I have been.

The Further Adventures of Wild Blue

Because of limited Internet up here, I am going to just blog our whereabouts and post the link here. I will monitor the forum to answer any questions if they come up. I cannot thank Jim and Joan enough for the wonderful sendoff and our "C-Brat angel in Anacortes" that provided a loner chart card...

The Further Adventures of Wild Blue

Thank you all for the warm welcome Roger, I am a recovering fisherperson, 30 years now  but I admit if I am going to fall off the wagon, it is liable to be in the upper reaches of the Inside Passage or SE Alaska where eventually hope to get with Wild Blue. Jay, that is quite...

The Further Adventures of Wild Blue

I am starting this thread here for ongoing cruising by Wild Blue with myself (Tim) and the First Mate (Mary) at the helm. I can't say enough about how wonderful experience it has been taking over Wild Blue from Jim and Joan, and I will do my utmost maintain her with the care and respect that...
