    Sucky Site Performance

Hi, Mark, Interesting comment, in that it appears that we have all moved on since the heat of the discussion back in early February. I believe I have acted accordingly, and hope your post simply didn't take into consideration the dates of the previous posts. Thanks for your consideration. Ken

    Cape Cruiser Boats

As I understand it from the folks at Cape Cruiser, Ben Toland left Marben Marine well before the C-Dory operations were sold to the current C-Dory Marine Group, and was thus not involved in any no-compete contracts or clauses. He left to design and build the 18-8, but hit some hard times when...

    What's in a name

Glad that's over. Now that it's time to get to the real matter of "What's In A Name", there are so many owners with so many neat names, that it's nice to know the background of those names. Some that I particularly like are "Seashanti", "Halcyon", "Fun Patrol", "C-Pup" and "SEA3PO". Each has...

    What's in a name

Hi, All, The link that Pat provided was only to message #2, in a series of 3 messages. The other side of the story was presented in the third segment, and is presented here: Posted: Tue Feb 08, 2005 4:47 am Post subject...

    $2500 Reward

Hi, Tom, I started a similar thread this morning. I haven't yet figured out how to do links here, but hopefully thefollowing will get you to our Theft Alert on the C-DOGs: http://groups.msn.com/CDoryOwnersGroup/ ... 7412050536 Between our two groups, we can cover quite a bit of ground...

    $2500 Reward

Incrediby generous and thoughtful on your parts, and I'll certainly pass it along to the C-DOGs. Thanks, Ken

Any Chem Engineers on board?? (Wallas fuel)

The main concern is the height, rather than the distance. Some resistance is created in the walls of the tubing, but that's almost immeasurable. And with a C-Dory, you won't be drawing from any significant depths. As Chris mentioned, a lot of boats that use these units are drawing diesel from...

    Sucky Site Performance

Very well stated, WPHrEEK, And some very good advice, as well. What is missing here is the fact that for the past two years, I have been requesting that the ridiculing of Dale be discontinued, in the interests of moving forward. What I was hoping for, was, at least privately amongst the...

    Sucky Site Performance

You're right, Bill. And I certainly got a reaction. But please believe me, my motives were good. Dale is still a friend of mine, and I just don't like folks having fun at his expense, irrespective of how indefensible his actions were two years ago. But, as you point out, that's (relatively)...

    Sucky Site Performance

Hi, Mike, If you can say, in all honesty, that the comments are merely fun, funny, and harmless, I can only take that at face value. And so I shall. Ken

    Sucky Site Performance

Obviously, the wounds are still open and festering. I was just noticing a continuing double standard here, between the C-Brat motto and occasional disparaging remarks. You won't find any such remarks on the C-DOG site, and frankly, after two years, I was hoping that such remarks would...

    Sucky Site Performance

"No Rules - Just Be Nice". Seems to have selective application! Just curious as to how long grudges can be held. Thanks for the update. Ken

    Sucky Site Performance

Hi, All, So far, it hasn't been any great inconvenience to me. For the most part, most of the functions seem to be working fine. But pardon my ignorance. I've seen, on occasion, a reference to something being "poobed". Could someone explain that term to me? I'm not sure I understand it in...

    CD's design category?

dogon dory and Captains Choice hit the nail on the head. Those of you who are planning on taking your C-Dorys across the Pond to cruise the waters of Europe might want to concern yourselves with the standards of the European Union. The rest of us pretty much don't care. Ken

Honda Horror Story: Please read and advise.

Been following these discussions pretty much since the 3 websites began. Honda stands up as one of the best, if not THE best. C-Dory stands up as one of the best, if not THE best. The (extremely few) folks that have had problems have either gotten them fixed very quickly through responsive...

    Fuel Delivery issues?

If the bulb goes flat, the problem has to be between the bulb and the tank. The only way that bulb will go flat is depletion on the downstream side, with lack of filling on the upstream side. If there is an air leak in the system, the bulb won't go flat, it'll just get a lot of air in it...

is the 22' right for me?

Hi, Tom, One important factor to remember is outside venting, both for reasons of safety and minimizing condensation in the cabin. You might go here: http://groups.msn.com/CDoryOwnersGroup/ ... toves.msnw for some further information. There are multiple discussions on the subject. I'm sure...

    Photos for brochure

Hi, Jeff, Since these two websites (C-DOGs and C-Brats) are incredibly instrumental in convincing potential C-Dory wannabees to take the plunge, you might benefit from including references (and addresses) to both sites in your new brochure. I've gotten a lot of feedback stating how our Owners...
