Doug, All I've ever used is diesel from the pump and I've not had a problem since purchase in 2001. Maybe the other stuff is better in some ways, but the diesel seems to work just fine.

Got the Otter out on the Potomac for the first time yesterday since January 8. Too much work! Engine started right up. Dogs enjoyed the cruise. Nice to have the days getting longer.
