Hi All Just working thru this issue now - windows are so filled with salt spots can hardly see in the sun! I rubbed window with bar keepers friend as suggested but haven’t noticed any change as of yet (Arm is tired!) Do you think it would be ok to put the cream on wool pad on my drill to do a...

    Can i pull a towable & kid with a 22-Cruiser / BF90?

I have pulled my kids in all different things in different boats since they were little. I have learned that the tubes like your picture are a much easier pull than the wake boards and the skiis. Now my kids are young adults and I still pull them on their wake boards once in awhile with my...

    North to Alaska

In case it’s of any interest to any other C Brats, there is a great YouTube video by Tony Fleming “Venture to Alaska” It’s not a C Dory by any means but I find his pictures fascinating as he documents his trip both to and around Alaska. Could be a great planning tool for those planning a trip...

Seattle Boat Show - Such a sparse showing

At the Vancouver boat show this year, Cutwater had a big display on (as well as a few other dealers like Tug). Cutwater was my friends and family favorite. As life would have it, a week after the boat show my son did a Coast Guard training week in Tofino. One of the other trainees happened to...

Live aboard - advice on how to pay for it

I really appreciate all your thoughts and insight into what is considered a "need" for preparing my boat for retirement. Its an older 1988 angler but has a 2006 f90 with only 200 hours. The trailer is only 3 year old. I will go with the radar, cover for the back and AIS for my new...

Live aboard - advice on how to pay for it

I really enjoy reading this thread. At 60 I am planning retirement but still working for a bit. I am saving as much as I can but trying to balance that with trying to knock down some of those big expenses for the boat before I retire. Just bought a new chartplotter HDS9 Gen 3 for 2k at...

    Question:Relationshi between clock time & longitude/lati

On our recent trip to Hawaii I was practicing my celestial navigation quite a bit. It's a fun hobby for me, but I wouldn't want my life to depend on it as did the sailors of old time. I have such respect for them! I admit I cheat a bit. Although I use an old-time sextant for measuring the...
