Cantilevered drop over Trex cooler rack

Thanks for sharing. Do you think it will support the weight of a fully loaded icechest?

OK Trying to get CD logo decals

I too would be interested in a set. I'm really dissapointed to hear how much trouble it is to contact the factory. I seriously doubt they are that busy with the poor economy and all.

Suggestions for a four day mini break

Another option you might consider is towing down to Newport. I know this would not really be a "cruising" vacation so much but they do have a nice marina. You can use the showers that the RV sites get to use. Lots to see in Newport, crab or just hang out at the marina enjoying your time on the...

    C-Dory unsinkable

Here is a picture of a Grady White using it's positive flotation. On this flat water day I suppose the fact that the boat didn't sink might be helpful but in rough conditions I'm not so sure you would be able to stay with the boat.

    Columbia River Spring Chinook 2008

CW, You might want to do as much fishing as you can because in all likely hood they are going to close the season early due to the "unexpectedly" high catch rates. It's possible that it will close before the weekend of the 26th and 27th. We'll see though.

    non self bailing- how safe?

Self bailing decks put the floor above sea level which makes for a higher center of gravity and more motion for the occupants. You would have to be in some SERIOUS seas to be taking water over the stern. If you study the weather/ocean predictions you should never find yourself in that kind of water.

    Garage For a 22' C-Dory on a Trailer

Exact numbers will have to wait but I have a 22' cruiser on a dual axel trailer. A safe bet for length would be 30' and roughly 11' tall from the top of the radome to the ground (short arch). I can try and get closer if you want.

    Some Suggested Guidelines for Posting

The search function doesn't work anyway. Very maddening. Anyway, at the bare minimum an accurate thread title is appreciated.

OK Trying to get CD logo decals

I was wondering what kind they were going to send. I noticed at the boat show this year that they went to a new "raised" plastic look. They looked really nice and I was jealous. I'd probably pay for those "stickers".

    new Boat Electronics

Wow, I see why they call it their "G" series, as in $GRAND$. I do like my Raymarine c-80 system. I perfer the one screen and also prefer to have my Radar overlayed on top of the charts. For me anyways, it makes interpreting all the blobs easier.

    Columbia River Spring Chinook 2008

Thanks for the report. I still need to get out for some springer action. The cold weather has kept me from being as motivated. I wonder what the crowds at the boat ramps are like on the upper part??

    22' come with 2 batteries?

I think the reason the port lazarette collects moisture is because it can't breath. I wouldn't try and make it water tight. I actually took a 2" whole saw just under the port gunnel and put a 2" hole in the port lazarette so it could breath and stay dry. Sounds kinda backwards but it works. The...

    22' come with 2 batteries?

I have one in each lazzarette and one on the floor between the fuel tanks. Dealer installed, except I added the one in the middle to double my house capacitiy. Works well.

Very good point. I had that happen to me too.

    Tips on starting the kicker

Pull the plugs and inspect them even if they were replaced. It might be that they are gapped wrong or worse, bent shut. It happened to me once. The only other thing and I'm sure you already did this but squeeze the bulb real good until you can't get anymore fuel into the kicker. Beyond that, I...

    wash & wax

I suppose technically that could be true if you were making your non-skid deck slippery. However, there are was products designed for the non-skid deck. I use the woody products. They are not cheap but are worth it. Check out their non-skid wax here: http://www.woody-wax.com/woody_wax.php

    Moving to Electrics...

I saw the price of cannon balls the other day and holy cow! 12lb ones were $50 each  . That's too expensive to lose. Anyway, in the northwest Scotty is the way to go. They have a lifetime warranty. I've heard they will send you the parts for free. Have not heard any negatives. I...
