    C-22 with 140 HP

Too much weight back there with the 140 + the kicker. If you were to ride in one that is balanced then that one you would understand. Those boats were originally powered with a single lightweight 75 hp 2 stroke IIRC.

I like the concept. The low price point scares me though.

twin yamaha 40's oil in fuel

Techron additive (not the diluted additive with Techron) really helps the carbs on our Honda 40s with similar small jets.

    DARN Racor filter

Can't have the clear bowl on inboard engine applications. They have a metal bowl with a drain that is OK for those applications.

    DARN Racor filter

I also have twins with each engine having it's own tank and Racor filter. The one time water got in a fuel tank thanks to the clear bowl I was able to detect and deal with it.

    extending anchor chain with c-links

My West Marine spliced rode has 200 feet of line and 20 feet of galvanized chain. I had been planning on adding an additional 80 feet of chain, using a C-link; but have recently been told that C-links may hang up when passing through the windlass gypsy, and that I should, instead, find someone...

Anchor Rehash -- New Anchor – Vulcan

I ditched the Rocna simply because I was tired of having its rollbar in my sight line. Replaced it with a Manson Boss which seems to work well.

    Snipers are Cowards?

The Hollywood elitists have their panties in a bunch because a film that doesn't follow their political narrative is doing so well.

    Removal of racor fuel filter.

Went through the stuck bowl routine again this year. I ended up immersing the element-bowl assembly in ice water then putting just the bowl in hot water and they separated easily. It worked well and much neater than the destructive method used last time. Thinking about loosening it when the...

    Tomcat anchor

The existing bail on the bow roller is easily replaced with 1" X 1/8" aluminum flat bar. That is what I did when I needed one bigger than the one that came with the boat. I have not used our 15# Manson Boss in anything over 15 knots so's all I can say is it sets quickly.

    Twin outboards.. different fuel consumption

Is there a parallax issue when viewing the tachometers causing the starboard engine to rev a little more? On my 22 I have to put my head against the cabin side to get an accurate reading on the starboard tach.

Expensive Permits for Photography on Federal lands???

http://www.oregonlive.com/environment/i ... _need.html Unelected, faceless, bureaucrats doing what they do. Every time enviro types get their way either public access or private property rights are lost and fees-taxes go up.

    Dinghy advice please.

Feathercraft's Baylee 3 HW weighs about 10 pounds and is made of the best materials to the highest standards. It comes with quality oars made be Werner, the kayak paddle people. I had a hard time with the decision to buy one due to the price. Having used it for a few years I recommend it...

Repower with twin Yamaha high thrust 50Ts?

Our 22's were designed with lightweight 70 hp two stroke motors in mind. With four strokes they are stern heavy. Do yourself a favor and choose lighter motors.

Any math whizzes here? (C-Dory engine related :D)

Lot's of ways to rig them, I guess.
