FL Keys shakedown Cruise for Delta Belle (C-22)

You can launch and leave your vehicle/trailer at Harris Park oceanside just north of Tavernier/Islamorada for free during the week (weekends are a different matter). As soon as I can get organized, I'll post our experiences in that area June 23-29. Thanx, Bill

    REPLACEMENT LAMPS for CD25?

Steve--Understood. The West Marine store here carries no dimpled festoon lamps at all, so the lamp in the catalogue seemed my only option. I enjoyed the thread on the ship's wake. The Cape Fear estuary is so narrow and crooked that the ocean-going vessels, still with a local pilot at the helm...

    REPLACEMENT LAMPS for CD25?

I was in the process of laying away spare lamps and a search turned up this thread. I am not finding in the West Marine catalogue the Perko ##'s indicated in the thread (my boat is a '99 22' Cruiser). My sidelights are Aqua Signal with dimpled festoon lamps labeled 12v/10W. The only dimpled...

Bitter end in anchor rode locker

I find that on my boat (a '99 22' Cruiser), the inner portion of the towing eye was glassed-in during manufacture. The only exposed hardware in the locker corresponds to the stanchions and the roller mount. I think I'll go with Al's suggestion re the threaded eye on one of the roller mount...

Bitter end in anchor rode locker

On our '99 22' Cruiser we have for the first time a locker for the anchor rode. Is there a recommended method for securing the bitter end inside the locker? Thanx, Bill

    VHF DSC functionality

I think the best version is: What happens to a dyslexic and insomniac agnostic? He stays up all night wondering if there is a Dog!

    22' Cruiser moves to NC

CD's are pretty much unknown here in the land of the Grady, Parker, Rampage, Albermarle, May-Craft, Regulator and dozens more. There used to be a 16 around here, but other than the ones at the dealership, it is the only one I have actually ever seen. Ours (decision on name pending) has green...

    22' Cruiser moves to NC

Many thanks to all for the warm welcome! We had been looking for a new(er) boat for a while, but the B-US ad got us to thinking about a CD (which a phone call verified it was). Cassie tracked down the CD website, and that led to a mid-JAN visit to Carrie and Gene Wooster, in the Bayboro area...

    22' Cruiser moves to NC

The following ad appeared in the JAN 06 isue of BOATUS magazine: "22' Cape (sic) Dory cruiser 1999. 90hp Honda, only 170 hrs. Stored inside, GPS, CD/radio, Lowrance X75, stove, sink, frig, toilet, screens. Extras. Hitchhiker trailer. $31,000 [+ contact info]." The price seemed fair, the boat...
