Rooftop for our boat is the way to go for us. Mostly because we use it while underway in the summertime at 18 kts.

I repowered my Honda 40's last year. Using Honda Stainless props 11 1/8" x 13" now. I like them better than the aluminum props from the old carbureted 40's. (I ran the same pitch)
