What exactly is a "Day Boat"

I get the general idea... not an overnight cruising boat. But where do you draw the line? I'm curious about different people's definitions. Sleeping Cuddy's / V-berths... I'd say a 16' Angler is a Day boat. But a 19' and 22' Anglers do have sleeping cuddys.. Yet they are not really "Cruisers"...

    Boat parking/storage options, got space?

Hi All! Well I'm officially addicted to C-dory's. Now I'm looking to go up from my 16's to a larger one (19'-22'). But I have no room for anything other than a 16' at my current home. I'm looking for either indoor storage, OR outdoor storage.* I've heard there are commercial places such as...

Boat price equivalncies over time. 20 yeas ago & today..

It seems from what you all are saying... that regardless "inflation", a C-dory could sell for about the SAME numerical dollar amount 20 years later (if in about the same condition)... Like: Bought for $25k in 2000. Kept in a garage and not used. Sold for $25k in 2020... Sound about right?

Boat price equivalncies over time. 20 yeas ago & today..

Does any have any idea if a smaller C-dory sold 20 years ago for say $15,000, and if you put the same boat on the market today, (and all other things being equal) what would be it's value now? So this is really a questions about (a) whether C-dory's appreciate of go down in value over time...

    Passenger Capacities of different C-dorys??

I guess I was thinking of "oem" cushions, from the factory.. But using the deck underneath is probably better..! Are they all just over 2 feet? seems the bigger boats would have more vertical space??

    Passenger Capacities of different C-dorys??

    Passenger Capacities of different C-dorys??

Either there's something wrong with that formula.., or I am missing something... For the 16's: 16 (L) x 6.5 (Beam) = 104 104/15 = 6.9333 But the boat is officially rated for 4 people...

    Passenger Capacities of different C-dorys??

Thanks for all the informative replies! I don't intend to take lot's of people on a cruise, but just curious for short runs like boat camping at a lake, or fishing.. And, I'm realizing now my question is more specific. I'm wondering about specifically about the official passenger rating for...

Co-Ownership of Boats - anyone have experience???

Hello All, I want to buy (another) boat, but guess what, I don't want to pay for the whole thing! Bear with me... I use my boat(s) occasionally. They sit most of the year unused. But I still love them, and cherish the time I do get to use them. Let's say you have two neighbors, and the...

    Anybody know about this model?

What is the BEAM of an 18'? If it's the same as a 16, then I think 60-70hp is fine. If it's the beam of a 19' or 22' then probably under-powered?
