I second the book recommendations and the comments. On our CD 16, we have spent many nights in anchorages not shown in the books. They just aren't written for boats with 10" draft that can sit on a mud bottom, and we've spent a few nights on mudflats. So far, I've been amazed at the accuracy...

Wouldn't the battery have a BMS to cover this issue? I have a 120Ah lithium that has a 100A BMS and thought this was good to cover 2' of 4 AWG from battry to inverter. Should I have a belt with my suspenders?

You can also use cheap single-use canned foam to lock foam blocks or boards in place and keep them up and out of the way. I use canned foam so often that I bought an applicator gun, which allows me to use a bit and keep it around for the next project. In my photo album under Modifications -...
