    Twin Honda 50 feedback needed

Well Sportcraft Marine was told by NMI that it was ok to mount a Suzuki DF140 on my 22. For boats over 21 feet the Yellow decal isn't required. I did mine that way because I lose 24 percent of the horse power at Yellowstone and 10 percent at Lake Powell. It sure does run nice at sea level.

    VHF antenna advice

The Morad antenna comes with a PL-259 connector on the bottom. You need to buy a cable that will have the PL-259 on one end and a mini uhf on the other, Morad sells different lengths on their website here https://www.morad.com/collections/installation Here is the adapter...

    VHF antenna advice

Morad 156 MHz (Marine Band) VHF 6dB Antenna "Hot Rod" 156HD you will need their adapter to mount it to a ratchet mount. It's 4.5 feet stainless whip. It will probably outlast any antenna out there and it performs very well. https://www.morad.com/collections/anten ... 56-hot-rod

    Closing Lake Mead

Here is some info about Lake Powell questions ask by a poster over on Wayneswords.net. I would imagine that Lake Mead is taking the same steps. Well I heard back from Heidie Grigg at NPS today, who answered the questions I posed on December 20. In general, there's not a lot of obvious "good...

    Air Wave VHF Antenna?

You could find someone at a local Ham club that has an analyzer and get them to test your cable and antenna.

    Air Wave VHF Antenna?

I was only looking at his comments on the Airwave antenna. His article is kind of all over the place considering he has a mag base antenna and a television antenna in the piece. I'll second the vote for Morad. I use them for the VHF and the 2 meter in the boat.

    Closing Lake Mead

Your right it would take 3 to 4 good years to put things back. Or they need to reduce the allocations for 10 years to fix it. P.S. I can't think of anything nice to say about the photography stuff so I'll just keep my mouth shut.

    Closing Lake Mead

Lake Powell is in the process of moving Bullfrog marina to Stanton Creek on the main Channel and building a new ramp over there. I will be extended to dead pool as the lake goes down. it is a permanent location for the marina. The south end will extend their ramps as well. even if the lake...

    Element fire extinguisher

From their FAQs * DOES ELEMENT REQUIRE SERVICE & DOES IT EXPIRE? Element's solid construction, no moving parts, and lack of compressed gas (unlike a traditional fire extinguisher) means it will never need any service or upkeep. In addition the solid chemical that makes up the Element...

    Element fire extinguisher

Pros and cons to everything. I like that it doesn't expire and there is no maintenance. Size and weight is also nice and it doesn't leave a mess. For right now it doesn't have Coast Guard approval so you would still have to carry one that does. They come in 30, 50 and 100 second sizes. The gas...

    Closing Lake Mead

If they are going to close it then they should lay off the rangers and park employee's. If they told them that's what they were going to do I'm sure they would come up with some ideas like portable ramps or cranes to launch boats and keep there jobs.

All I want for Christmas is a new engine...

After cruising with Hunky Dory last summer in Alaska I would choose twin 60's. Plenty of HP while loaded heavy. Run on a single for best fuel economy. Only use hours on one motor when at displacement. A single motor should troll plenty slow enough for fishing. The down side would be more cost to...

    ipad case

If what he meant by full sized is a 13" current model it has a 1000 nit screen should be plenty bright for direct sun. If it is an 11" screen then they are 600 nits and will be hard to see in direct sun.

    Sionyx Aurora Night Vision Camera

I think I still prefer a handheld so I can take it camping and not be limited to just the boat. I only set it up if I need it so it's not out in the sun all the time. I set mine on a small tripod and just set it outside the center window. It blue tooths to my Ipad.

C-View II Oct, 2022 Lake Powell Cruise

The park didn't know about it either until it came out of the water when the lake went low enough. Then they extended it.
