    Death Valley Encounter

I would suggest a remote control kicker motor without bracket. It will have tight clearances, but will work with tabs, without a tiller. Use rremote control box to shift and throttle, and tie the motors together with a removable tie bar mounted on front of motor bracket. I have had great...

Your thoughts on a boat I am considering - link below

Looks nice, but you need to be very sure that 6-7 knots is satisfactory speed. I would have a Ranger Tug, but after going at that speed foran hour, it gets unsettling to me if I want to actually get anywhere. Did it going into Bamfield one time when I had a coil go out on my boat forcing me to...

    Transom bilge pump discharge

I do not like it that low. With discharge low it makes water intrusion easier unless an upward loop is inline. Discharge pumps should not have checkvalves to prevent backflow

Selling a C-Dory Regionally vs. Locally: Differences

I have held it for people -- one time with a paypal deposit, and 1 time with just a gentlemans agreement. It was only for a couple of days though, and they always completed the purchase. You usually can tell how sincere the party is after a good conversation. I didhave 1 failure though!

    Cockpit Load

The bilge pump mounted at the bulkhead drains out a rather low bulkheadfitting just above the pump. Water can siphon in throught that fitting since it turns downward into the hose from the pump. The solution is to run the fitting upward to the gunnel and then back down with a loop -- that...
