I agree with Bob - buy a new one and be done with it. The white stuff looks like the remains of some sealant on install and the part doesn't look like it has chemically reacted with anything. It is common they fail.

It could be you just gave it too much grease....it does happen. Also, with EZlube, if that is even what you have, you're supposed to rotate the tire while you grease them. It makes a difference.

I actually like drums just fine.....lol....As a side note, and everyone probably already knows this, the way to get loctite to loosen up is to apply heat - plenty of that in a brake system. In my experience, the red is better at staying put and does come apart with a torch or even a heat gun...

I like bigger because it is easy to hold your heading since you can clearly see it. But, I rarely use it to be honest....except in the really dense fog or at night. Even then, the one on my Garmin is way better.

I would be more comfortable with a furnace that draws air from the outside when one of those butane or propane canisters springs a leak. It might keep you from going boom.

I honestly don't know how anyone puts up with the manual pump, but the double action is probably twice as good :-)
