6ft. of plastic sprial wrap from an electronics store.
Put it around the fuel lines and control cables to keep
them from marking up the insde of the motor well. :thup
Jack... :smiled
Put 'er on the trailer yesterday and pressure washed the bottom. Now waiting for the next decent day to run the engines out in a barrel.
Summer is officially over. :sad
You might want to think propane. I have run propane freezers and refrigerators in my boats for over 40yrs. without a problem. Being a heat absorbtion system that operates on "Thermal Dynamics", the main consideration is the orientation of the cooling coils. The unit should be located as close to...
I know, I saw you too late Thomas. :sad
I told the Admiral, there goes a heavy
duty C-Dory. :smilep
Was that you south bound with the inflatable on
top and the big O.B. and kicker, on brackets? :smileo
Jack... :smiled
I'm really surprised at the number of "No Name" C-Dory's that go by the house. :sad
I think I'll start a log of the ones that are named and try to get them to wave. :wink
Jack... :smiled
Looks like a worthwhile function for those with a dedicated chart plotter. :thup
Personally, I prefer the idea of a multifunction unit.
Along with my paper charts, I use a 15.5" laptop and
a notebook, both with Captn's.
That way, I can keep a log, down load the camera, or e-mail ahead for...
Nutty B, :smile
I know there is a shelf that goes out from Jones on the West side, but
the real sneaker is the unmarked shoal on the East side. It's quite large,
but only shows on a real low tide. I dove that spot and the Red Sea Urchins there are huge. :smileo
Lots of traps for the unwary...
Very Cool Roger, :thup
"the most frequently hit rocks in the San Juan Islands"
I hadn't seen that one before. It
should be required reading. :wink
Jack... :smiled
Dang !!! It's on the Chart !!! :crook
Spent several days at the Prevost Hbr. dock, Reid Is. last
week and in two days, 3 boats hit the reef at the south western
end of the bay, in front of the ranger's house. :embarrased
Two power boats and one sailer. The sailboat got off easy,
but the...
I don't know if it has changed, but the last time I tried to report a fishing violation in progress on a weekend, the automated message said, " Call back during normal business hours." :sad
Jack :smiled
Stay away from Coupeville this time of year. :smileo
The Westerlys blow across the island and raise hell with
that shallow bay. :sad
If you need a stop in that area, use the marina at Oak Harbor.
Just mind the channel markers. :crook
Jack... :smiled
Heck, just perk it the night before and reheat it.
If it was good coffee to begin with, it's good hot,
cold, or reheated. :wink
Anyone who wont drink reheated coffee is drinking "Bilge"
to begin with. :sad
Jack... :smiled
Thanks Roger, :thup
I'm still stuffing stuff and watching the bootstripe disappear. :smileo
Headed your way on the 9th. :wink
Fuel prices seem to be dropping some what around here....Hope it's catching.
Jack... :smiled
Dreamer,
You guys try to keep us posted on who's open, or not this summer. We heard Greenway wasn't going to open and a few others were having difficulties of one sort or another. :cry Any word on Kwatsi Bay?
We'll be headed thet way after the 4th of July. :wink
Jack... :smiled
You sound like a man in need of a project. :wink
There are many good suggestions here. Some
would keep you busy for quite a while. :crook
Have you given any thought to a removable top,
or top section? A C-Dory Convertible, now that
would be a first. :smileo
Jack... :smiled
Pressure washing and moss removal time... :smilep
Charge the battery, run the engines in the garbage
can, put the props back on and I'm good to go. :wink
Jack... :smiled
Darn! :sad
My excuse for going to Hawaii will be here in July and the graduation isn't until a year from November, so I guess I'll have to try something else. Everyone has given me enough ideas to work with. :thup
Jack... :smiled
Forgot and left a metal tool box sitting on a V-berth cushion.
Now the cushion has a large rust stain and I'm in trouble. :cry
Anyone found anything that will successfully remove rust stains?
Jack... :sad
Yeah, Seabeagle X2 :thup
I didn't even resume taking my shotgun after they changed their minds
and decided it was OK, for $50.00 :sad
What really jerked me off was when 5 of them decided to turn my boat
into a training exercise last year because I was wearing my NRA hat. :disgust If it had...
