    Mercury 60hp Outboards

Thanks MikeR, its great to hear your opinion/experience on the Mercs. Yes we still have the Linnea but despite being retired now, its hard to justify having two boats.

    Mercury 60hp Outboards

Thanks everyone for your input. We bought the 1650 Rebel Lund with a 60hp Merc on it yesterday, new....2017. Lund and Merc are tied together at the hip; both are owned by Brunswick. They do offer the Honda but at a large premium. BTW not to start a thread war here but I did talk with an...

    Mercury 60hp Outboards

I searched on Mercury outboards and found that most of the comments were generally favorable but are about 10 years old. We are thinking about purchasing a Lund with a Mercury 60hp. What is the general opinion on Mercury 60hp outboards. I understand its part of the 40/50/60hp family. Thanks

    Small Aluminum Boats

The Smokercraft is the only one we have seen so far.....at Boat Country in Everett. We had a 14' 2003 Lund before the CDory. I was surprised at how "substantial" the 16' Smokercraft looked. We plan on looking at Master Marine next at the Lund and Crestliner and maybe Cabela's. Weight is a...

Never heard of a thwart before Bob. Thanks for the lesson. I would have called it a bench seat.

    Small Aluminum Boats

Salt water. Recreation and short trips mainly in Lopez Sound, crabbing, fishing in protected waters.....any longer trips around the San Juans would be in nice weather.

    Small Aluminum Boats

Anybody have any thoughts on comparisons between aluminum boats in the 16'-18' range? In this area it seems the most available boats are Lund, Smokercraft and Crestliner. Thanks

    An eclipse preview...

Well said johnr and hardee. We were north and east of Redmond, Or., around the Painted Hills. We had 2 minutes and 5 seconds of totality. Awesome and amazing. The next one in the US is in 7 years. Maybe we'll make it down to Texas for that one.

    current sleep apena guidleines

I use the ResMed AirSense 10. Colby- I have been been just adding distilled water to the reservoir as needed to bring it back up to the Max line. I haven't got sick yet but...... If you just use the water until it is gone and it runs out in the middle of the night is that OK? Is there a...

    current sleep apena guidleines

I've had my CPAP machine for 8 months now. How does everyone clean their machine? How many hours a night does everyone average per night? S far I keep it on between 4-7 hours, then take it off for the remainder of the night. I find that using the non-heated hose doesn't use as much...

You're right Jim. Just a rental. I'm not selling my C Dory.......yet. Mark- thanks for the info on the Campbell River Boat Brokerage and the link to nwboatinfo.com. Lots of folks to gather information from. I'm not sure that I'm adventurous enough for your used boat purchasing idea. Besides...

    2003 Suzuki BF90 Problems

Check out previous posts in the forum and on the internet for problems with Suzuki engines of that era. Could be corrosion in the exhaust system due to Suzuki using dissimilar metal connectors. I hope its not that but good luck.

    River Horse ... Revisited???

Glad this subject has come up again. I'm about half way thru the book, he just entered the Missouri. He definitely has his own writing style. It took me a while to figure out who Pilotis is.......guess I should have read the very front of the book first. I enjoy his historical asides about...

    Radar/chartplotter combo

Thanks for a the responses. I do plan on checking out the different systems at the Boat Show but what about installation. Given where my boat is stored and the short time frame until Sam leaves, I'm not sure my learning curve is short enough to do it myself. Who does a quality...

    Radar/chartplotter combo

We have been in contact with Sam Landsman about this year's trip to Alaska. We'll see. We have never had either radar or a chart plotter. Sam says a chart plotter is a must and radar is really useful due to fog in the late summer. Questions/opinions requested. I'm sure these questions have...

Another one bites the dust - Suzuki Corrosion

:amgry :( :( :x :amgry If you try to purse it further, don't expect any help from Suzuki or any local or national consumer groups. We went that route and just got frustrated. This is the summary I used- COMPLAINT AGAINST Suzuki Brea, CA Complaint Letter: Yes Share with Media: Yes...
