    Another Non-Skid Thread

Well......sounds like I might have to experiment. Does anyone out there know how it was done at the factory back in the day that hasn't chimed in yet. Thanks for the advice given so far.

Bob, how thick did you mix it? Could you compare it to something. Gear oil, motor oil? Thanks

    Another Non-Skid Thread

Hello all, Well, as long as we were visiting the subject of non-skid I figured I would bring up my project. I would like to know how to reproduce my cockpit floor anit-skid. It has a few chips and I am wondering the best way to redo it. I figured it would start with sanding down the old...

    Honda BF-50A Shop Manual

My standby boat (Harbercraft) had a Honda BF-50A on it that I bought new in 2002. Back then I bought the HIGH dollar shop manual from Helm Inc. Well, we re-powered this summer with a Honda BF-50D. The old manual no longer applies, so I listed my old manual on E-bay. I know lots of C-Dories...

How to Keep the window just cracked open. I'm frustrated

We've stuck the chunk of wood in there before. That was our first solution. Just looks kind of bad, isn't adjustable and falls out underway. Thanks for the thoughts though. As far as the moisture during the overnights, this is while we are out on anchor, with bodies making breathing...

How to Keep the window just cracked open. I'm frustrated

Hello All! Looking for some advice. Our boating is done in AK therefore at night we don't like to leave our rear windows wide open but just cracked to let out some of the moisture. Unfortunately they don't like the part way position sometimes and come falling down all the way open. I'm...

    Sewage Holding Tank Sealant

Hello all, Was tracking down a faint sewage smell and after getting access to my tank noticed a "brown" stain coming from my 3" access hole on my sewage tank. I want to reseal the fitting and reinstall it. Any suggestions on what would be the best type of sealant to use. I was thinking...

Have you ever removed a Tomcat Fuel Tank

Thanks for all the ideas. I got the bulkhead it was stuck to out by using a 1/4 x 1" piece of aluminum bar stock 5 ft long and riveting a sawzall blade to the end of it. Thanks again. I've got to get back to work!

Have you ever removed a Tomcat Fuel Tank

Hi guys, Thanks for the response. The tanks are aluminum. I already removed the front stiffener. I talked with Steve at Titan and he says the stiffener behind the tank that it is glued to with 5200 has to get cut out one way or another. I put a sawzall blade on a 5 ft 2x2 and cut the top...

Have you ever removed a Tomcat Fuel Tank

Hello If you have I need some help/ advice. I'm in the process of pulling my Port side tank right now because of a small leak. I removed the dinette area and all of the seating in that area. I've pulled up the star board access panel and removed the flotation foam and the water tank. I cut...

Changed my Drum brakes to Disc

Interesting point. I haven't bought a spare for the discs yet, for some reason I didn't even think about it. The drum brake system was definitely a little more needy of maintainance. It would sure be a pricey spare but when you need it, you REALLY need it. Not a single person has bid on my...

Changed my Drum brakes to Disc

Hi guys, This spring I changed all the brakes on my EZ-Loader trailer for my TC24. I changed from Drum to Disc. I went with the Kodiak brand brakes and so far they have worked out wonderfully. They should after around a $1000 for all four wheels and an actuator. Previously I spent $200 on...

    Replaced my Wallas

Hello all, This summer I pulled my Wallas 95D from my boat and replaced it with a brand new Wallas 85. If anyone is interested in a 95D that needs some tinkering I've put it up for sale on Craigslist. It was operating when I pulled it but was having some issues. Here's a link to the ad with...

    Outboard Control Cable Protection

Thanks for the input guys. It sounds like the Spiral wrap would be best for me I'm not wild about the look of the zippered stuff but glad to see other options. What about using the split plastic tubing often used to protect automotive wires?

    Outboard Control Cable Protection

Hello all, The control cables going to my Honda BF-90's are in that fiberglass loom stuff that C-Dory put lots of the wiring in too. The loom going to my outboards is starting to disintigrate from age and UV. What are my replacement options. I see the plastic tubes on the newer boats, but it...

    10/16 - C-Dory Gelcoat Class

Charile, they seem to be in Auburn by phone number only. It appears as if they closed that location and are working from somewhere in FL. They still have a WA number too, but when the answering machine comes on, they tell you that there operating hours are on the Eastern Time Zone. I'm going...
