I have had the rubber/plastic caps on my bearing buddy hubs go missing from time to time. I spent a few extra bucks to keep a couple of spares in my trailer kit. They will keep the grime out of the grease for you. Pat

I have the same engine as you. Last summer I trolled with it and it seemed to like it just fine. The only problems I see are being able to go slowly enough when those pesky silvers want a really slow bait. Also with the prop revolving at such low rpm's, you won't have quite the steering control...
