I just want to add my vote for a Thermarest or something similar. I took my 30 year old version out on Prince William Sound for a few days last week and it was as comfortable for my old overweight carcass then as it was when I was packing it around in the Cascades chasing mountain...
I've not had one of those nasty things inside the pots yet, but they will hang on to bait when I'm bottom fishing.

I have had the rubber/plastic caps on my bearing buddy hubs go missing from time to time. I spent a few extra bucks to keep a couple of spares in my trailer kit. They will keep the grime out of the grease for you.

I have the same engine as you. Last summer I trolled with it and it seemed to like it just fine. The only problems I see are being able to go slowly enough when those pesky silvers want a really slow bait. Also with the prop revolving at such low rpm's, you won't have quite the steering control...
