    Autopilot TC255 Needed?

Thanks for that tip Tom. That is new to me, and actually very important in this decision. John, you should know that I work for the Fed and we have your number. Naaaa. Just kidding. You should visit us in MI (Michigan) some time. Actually, I'm a retired "eye" guy. This website is fun...

    Autopilot TC255 Needed?

Thanks for your feedback John. I, too, do not fish, nor need to push the limits in fog, following seas, or nighttime navigation as I did for years aboard my sailboats. Under those conditions, often single handling, AP was invaluable, as was radar. We are going to chiefly cruise with this boat...

    Autopilot TC255 Needed?

Thanks for the replies. I am not surprised by the responses, but still appreciate them very much. AP was invaluable over many years on a sailboat. Now I can have Beth read your responses, and hopefully, she will say " OK , dear, I understand".

    Bottom Paint

Thanks to all of you for the responses to my question. These are really helpful in reaching a conclusion. Be interesting to see what the Michigan Pettit Rep has to say. Interesting: over many years, and numerous sailboats, I have used VC-17, Micron CSC, Vivid, and HydroCoat SR, some boats...

    Bottom Paint

Thanks Bob, I am familiar with Vivid, having used on my sailboat for years, just did not know if it was appropriate for trailering. The Dealer recommended Optima SR60, a Pettit ablative, and has been his choice for the Carolinas, but suggested I investigate the recommended paint for the Great...

    Bottom Paint

Greetings. I have purchased a TC 255 and need to apply barrier coat and bottom paint to a new bottom. Seeking advice on the best bottom paint for the Great Lakes region. I am partial to Pettit, but would welcome any feedback.
