Twin Honda 40’s to twin Honda 60’s

For similar reasons,I replaced my carbureted Honda 40's with the Tohatsu 50's a couple years ago.I couldn't be happier about the swap. I'm within 4 lbs+- , with better fuel economy and noticeably more power. While the Hondas still ran well, they were showing corrosion at the swivel brackets...

    C 25 buying advice

I'm curious about what year the change was made to make the fuel tank more accessible on the 25. I've given some thought to moving up from the 22 and one of my concerns would be, how to deal with a leak or sending unit gone bad.

In my case the filler runs across , from about the top motor bolt holes up. So it's likely the small separation wasn't going to get to the core. It was creeping me out though, seeing that separation and not know the extent of it under the transom cap

Do I need my transom cap?

I went ahead and removed the cap. It was held on by a hard yellowish glue , so hard that it actually took a few chunks of gelcoat with it .I'll have to grind off what remained in spots. I'm going to try leaving the cap off. It looks like the very top of the transom had some sort of filler...

Do I need my transom cap?

What I'd like to know is if I manage to get it off and make...
