Has anyone found an online company that does lettering that looks like the C-Dory logo, i.e. domed, black with a gold (or other color) shadow, and the ability to have the first letter of each word larger than the rest of the word. There's a ton of companies online out there, but who knows what...

I found a little bit online on PropSpeed, but not much, and not very positive (and pricey :) Seems silicone based. I agree probably not for fiberglass. I ran across a product called McLube Antifoul Speed Polish, might be interesting to try a section with that. They don't provide ingredients...

This is probably a silly idea, and hopefully someone will say so, if so - we need to recarpet our bunks (and we've looked at synthetic, etc.), so what if you used marine grade carpeting, and just used strips on the top, like 1/4 inch from each side of the board, and glued it down. hmm, maybe...

thataway, thanks, we have some collinite 885 coming tomorrow on your recommendation. I think one of the test areas on the bottom that we'll do is a ceramic spray, followed by wax. That's how it's done on autos. But test areas are going to be only 6 x 6'', so it's not like it'll hurt anything...

p.s. I guess I just don't understand how, with all of our technology, that there's not a clear finish that's lasting, anti-fouling, and doesn't break the bank :)

Thataway, we've pretty much decided NOT to bottom paint at this time, as once we have all the barnacle residue off, and I mean OFF, it's only going to be in the water two or so weeks at a time, then out and cleaned. We're lightly buffing all of the boat with a Meguiar's compound as it is...

hardee, thanks - maybe I'm confused (not unusual), but whatever we eventually put on the bottom means we have to do the work to get all of the barnacle "residue" off, then at least buff it before any product? And with some product, more than just buffing :)

Well, we had more than barnacle starts when we got it a few months ago, but we're getting it off with hull cleaner, scrapers, etc. (and Mr. Clean magic eraser pads, they're they most effective, hope we're not really screwing up the gelcoat :) The PO had left it in the water in a contained marina...
