  3. I used these cool little quick release clamps I found on Amazon. They're actually bicycle handlebar clamps to mount a flashlight.

This makes it easy to swap the panel to the roof rack on the truck when we want to go out boonie crashing.

How Far Did You Travel To Buy Your C-Dory?

Some great stories! Once bitten by the C-Dory bug a little road trip means nothing. Yeah, you definitely have to be quick when one shows up, or so I've heard. We weren't actively looking for one when ours popped up on here. Our plan was to wait until I retired in a couple of years. I just...

How Far Did You Travel To Buy Your C-Dory?

Having just replied to @amvoboril thread about picking up their new to them 22 cruiser, Just Ducky, I got to thinking about how many obsessed C-Dory owners were willing to travel a fair distance to buy/pick-up the boat they may have been dreaming about for years. In our case, we traveled from...

  10. Todays little project was to add jam/clamshell cleats to the cockpit to secure our forward docklines.

I was using a single line and it always seemed to be in the wrong place, or on the wrong side when needed. Now I'll have a line on each side running to the forward cleat and they can just stay attached when we're out on the boat.

    05/13 - 05/16 - Friday Harbor CBGT 2021

Thanks Jim, just what I'm looking for. I do remember reading about your time there. Sounds wonderful. I don't want to get this thread off track anymore than I already have so I'll start a "looking for tips" thread when we get a little closer to June. Cheers

    05/13 - 05/16 - Friday Harbor CBGT 2021

Bummer! Looks like we'll be about 5 weeks late for this one. We are planning a mid/late June trip to Montana to visit friends, then to Coeur d'Alene to visit friends, then on to the San Juan's for a bit. Head to Yellowstone Lake for a couple days. Maybe a stop at Jackson Lake or Jenney Lake for...

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

Been getting lots of little things done the last couple of days. Wrapping up the windlass install has been fun and now just waiting for my Blue Sea 50amp breaker to get here and I'll call it done. Switch is in place. Anchor locker Drain hole drilled. Waiting for the GemLux Clamshell cover I...
  15. Then I made a bracket out of 1.5 inch aluminum angle to secure the bitter end of the rode. It's secured to the bow eye bolts and the rode is spliced to the bracket.

  16. Drilled the anchor locker drain hole. I used the magnet trick to locate the spot where the hole would be drilled. final hole size is 1/2 inch.

  20. Decided to go ahead and go with this location for the switch.

Per the advise of some C-Brats, I have another 50 amp breaker on order that will get mounted on the lower bulkhead. This will be used to kill the circuit when the windlass is not being used so there are no accidental anchor releases.
