    Honda Throttle Friction Lock

Don't have Hondas, but have adjusted my dual contol Suzukis. You remove the cover and turn the adjustments screws. Very simple. I do wish, however, that the controls were not mounted flat as they are, but tilted up 45 degrees. As they sit now, I have to tighten the friction screws as tight...

    Canvas Project for Sealife

In typical fashion, I changed my mind in mid stream about having a full cover made for Sealife to protect her from the sun. Peggy, from Channel Islands Canvas came out and started the canvas layout with plastic, and when I saw that, and envisioned the size and weight of the cover in Sunbrella...

    Raymarine DSM300 "no data source"

That's an interesting problem.....one I haven't yet faced with my C-80. I'm wondering....what sort of engines do you have. With my twin Suzulki 50's, I seem to put out enough amps to run all my electronics, including autopilot, without any problems. I know Hondas do not put out as much amps...

    10/13 - 10/15 - Santa Barbara Seafood Festival Cruise

Just heard from my brother-in-law who provides the tickets, and the NY High School Reunion this year is on Saturday 10/14, so it look like I'm out of this cruise for this year. This is an annual event held at the Beverly Hills High School auditorium, and this year they are honoring Mitzi Gaynor...

    08/20 - 08-26 - Catalina Adventure in Paradise 2006

Back from the Catalina Aventure in Paradise, and it lived up to it's name. Weather was absolutely perfect.....sunny, warm, easy seas. Beach barbecue was great...lots of delicious food and good friends. Speaking of good friends, our perennial sailing goodf buddy, Wendy, was there again. Next...

    08/20 - 08-26 - Catalina Adventure in Paradise 2006

I'll be loading up the boat tomorrow morning at about 7:30, underway by about 9-9:30am. It's all fueled up, but been too busy to gather all the provisions and load it, so doing it just before I leave. Will probably forget something.....hope it's nothing important. Trusting my buddy Bob, whose...

    08/20 - 08-26 - Catalina Adventure in Paradise 2006

Ron, I read you loud and clear. Have been equally busy, but will load everything on Sunday morning, early, and still run up from Oxnard by sea. That's still the easier way for me. So, we'll see you there.

    08/20 - 08-26 - Catalina Adventure in Paradise 2006

I'm bringing the meats.....whose bringing the corn? Roger? Somebody doin' the salad? How about appetizers? Barbecue on the beach Monday evening, dinner at the resturant Friday evening. Fish fry one night after a successful fishing excursion. How does Wednesday sound for that? That would...

    08/20 - 08-26 - Catalina Adventure in Paradise 2006

Ron, I haven't heard from Roger, but I'd guess he'll cruise with us. I'm thinking of taking my two 5 gal jerry cans if they will fit between my fuel tanks. I've been so busy with Coast Guard stuff, I've hardly had a chance to think about this trip, and this week is no exception. Got a patrol...

For you fishermen, or politically correct fishcatchers, the waters in So. Cal. are unusually warm, with Mahi-mahi being caught off Newport. Could make for some interesting catches off Catalina, and some warm water diving.

Roger, So far 13 boats signed up...figure 2 per boat = 26. To be safe plan on 30. You're goin' be shuckin' and jivin' all day. How many tri-tips for 30?

BTW, Roger, are you doing the corn thing again for the Monday barbecue? Hope so, havn't been able to duplicate it yet at home, and loved it last time. Spuds, anyone?

    08/20 - 08-26 - Catalina Adventure in Paradise 2006

J & P, Barbecue on Monday night features a main course of tri-tip provided by yours truly. Bring your own drinks and any side dish you might want to add. There are two resturants ashore; a dinner place and a breakfast/lunch cafe. You always have the option of eating ashore or aboard your...

    08/20 - 08-26 - Catalina Adventure in Paradise 2006

Hey, Bob Cat, kayaks are in, but might need a handicap start. Now that I've got a cruiser model that can sleep two guys without starting a scandal, I'm bringing a CGAUX buddy with me, Bob Holm. Great, gregarious guy, who has his own inflatable kayak to race also. This trip is really shaping...

    08/20 - 08-26 - Catalina Adventure in Paradise 2006

Wild Blue, Sure hope you can join us. Can't think of a better first cruise than Catalina. It would also make for a good shake down cruise, as you would have lots of company (security), and another 25 footer or two to compare notes with.
