  2. I never liked the sight tube level gauge as I had a hard time reading it. The panel slides up revealing the tank, an easy read.

  3. The original tank was pulled to make room for the AC unit. I used a bladder tank in a couple different locations, but it just did not work out. Moving the original tank forward took some weight off the stern and was an easy job.

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

Having removed the water tank to make room for the new AC, I had mounted a bladder tank under the fwd-port settee. I have never been satisfied with the outcome. Today I realized the original 20 gallon tank would fit in this space, if I mounted it on a shelf. 20 gallons of water weighs 160...

What people say about our boat

Another time in Florida, a state patrol car did a "U" turn behind me and followed me into a gas station. OH CRAP!.... "I love it. Can I go aboard? " ooh, aah! Nice guy. The boat do turn some heads.

    Need An anchor.

While my Delta anchor works flawlessly in the local Louisiana mud, I have had repeated problems hooking up in Florida grass bottoms. I just ordered a Mantus from West Marine. They had the best price and free shipping. BELIEVE IT OR NOT.

What people say about our boat

There are so few of these boats on the Gulf of Mexico coast that I get " Nice Boat" all the time. The most odd was when a guy in a Corvette pulled up to the side of my 70 mph truck on I10, signaled to roll down my window, and asked where he could get a boat like that. (I gave them Mark's number.)

How to avoid hull slap on plane

Good point. I had some idiot do the same thing to me west of Key West. With the whole Atlantic ocean to run in, this idiot passed me 10 yards to port. I added a rear view camera and monitor and now can keep a watch aft.

New product: American made trailer tires.

With so many problems with Chinese made trailer tires reported on this forum, this may be of interest. Goodyear now markets ST tires made in Alabama and North Carolina. Endurance series come with load ranges D and E and an N speed rating (87 mph). I got this from an article in "Trailer...

    Anchor Locker Redux

Just an aside; If you haven't chased a leak in the overhead before, the fact that water ALWAYS runs downhill does not apply on a boat.

    c-22 handling characteristics

I have been in some sloppy stuff and my boat handled well, as I would expect. Yes, you have to slow down to match conditions. The problem I still have is at idle speed in close quarters. With no keel and a flat bottom, it behaves like a leaf on a pond. In any kind of wind, things really...

I'm fuming so I'd better vent or I'll explode

Comparing WM with Lowe's, Home Depot, or even Walmart, is not a fair comparison. I consider the salespersons all about equal as to product knowledge, some good, some poor. But with WM prices so outrageous, they should be able to hire experts in all departments. The old, "You pay the extra...

    Now what coach?!?

I started carrying the dinghy on the roof top, until I mounted solar panels there. Then I made a simple rack out of SS tubing and mounted it over the cockpit. I used a davit crane to raise and lower it . If I had it to do over, I would have saved a lot of time and money by keeping it rolled...

    Snowy hell....

I just spent a week on the Lacassine, Calcasieu, and Mermantau Rivers in South Louisiana. Highs in the low 80s, lows in the low 60s. Trees are starting to turn green. Great time here as hunting season is over and fishing has not begun. I saw maybe 5 sport boats all week. We will, of course...

Just a thought...I have had to replace EVERY rivet in my rub rail. Now might be a good time to check over yours. Sunbeam blogged a great article on how she replaced hers. Good luck.
