    "Borrowed" Ideas From Fellow Brats

I borrowed :wink a few ideas from my fellow Brats and completed two simple convenience mods for Swee Pea (22' Cruiser) You can find photos in my Swee Pea album, page 6 - I still don't know how to post directly into the thread. The first was a simple hand hold for the swim platform. I like...

  4. Hand holds for the swim step. Three Harbor Freight aluminum caribeaners (99 cents each)with soft grip wrapped in yellow Rescue Tape for a watertight seal. A fourth caribeaner attaches the rope to the ladder. I will put a 6" float on the end of the line in the water for visual marking. Total cost less than $10.

    C-Dory Burgee Order!

Not here to rehash and open wounds. And I will admit that I did not read all ten pages of posts. If burgees were ordered, I missed out. I contacted Burgees.com and there were 6 C-Dory Burgees left - at $25 each plus $5 shipping. I bought one. These are the ones the C-Dogs...

Recommedations for boating equipment on line?

Isn't Boater's World still alive on line? I have bought way more at BW than West Marine. West Marine is my last resort. Very expensive. Anyway, Defender is a good choice. Also try Fore and Aft Marine http://www.foreandaftmarine.com/ For electronics, GPS Discount...

    Pumped some sh*t yesterday!

Amen, brother!!!! :!: On my truck camper, I have this Cassette Toilet http://www.thetford.com/HOME/Products/P ... fault.aspx - a glorified porta potti. While others are waiting to pump, we just dump the portable holding tank in the rest room toilet. John Swee Pea

    Rust & Blood Stains

On your hard, fiberglass surfaces, like your floor, the consensus of Brats seems to be Barkeepers Friend. I am sure it will work. I had never heard of this product before until the Brats talked about it on this site. You can find it at the local grocery store. It is great stuff...

A question for you 22' owners

I can only echo what others have said. When I first went looking at the C-Dories, the 25 was out of the question, for us, price wise. There is a significant difference in price! It was really appealing to have a shower and toilet on board - and a hot water heater. Wider longer cockpit...

    Interesting question - C-Dory Warranty

Have had my 22' Cruiser since 2004; bought it new from Cutter Marine. Hull warranty is now over. Happy to say that my boat (knock on wood) is as solid as the day I bought it. Only one warranty problem - with the depth finder - replaced by Cutter under warranty. As I understand, the hull...

    Cabin top rack

I have been "racking" my brains trying to figure out how to create a stable rack for my 22' Cruiser. I have scoured all the posts dealing with this topic. I have been looking for rail mounts to either make a rack using stainless tubing or adapt an old Yakama rack that has been sitting...
  17. This is a gutter mount Yakima rack that I had hidden in the garage. It came off an old Isuzu Trooper. The main bracket has padded rubber on the bottom and the metal brace is mar free as well. Snug secure fit.

    Garhauer Davit setup questions

I have been thinking about this for a while. With the davit mounted in the port and starboard corner of the boat, on the floorboards, it is the perfect place structurally and the easiest install. However, the arm of the davit does not reach directly over the kicker. Should not be too big of a...
