    Rooftop Cargo Racks

I have had Yakima racks on the boat for several years. I run almost exclusively in saltwater. The racks are holding up well.

    CD-22 on Tampa Craigslist

I just stumbled on this 22 on Tampa Craigslist. Has a new motor and appears to be in good shape. It's on Pop Yachts, so you have to register to see the high-resolution photos, which I did not do. Looks like a nice boat. http://tampa.craigslist.org/hdo/bod/3755197929.html

    Power adapter for marinas

West Marine carries a Marinco adaptor for around $50. It is an easy way to go. http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=1004518&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&storeId=11151&storeNum=50523&subdeptNum=50524&classNum=50526#.UY4vEsu9KSM

Lifting an 85# Kayak to the rooftop (Ideas needed)

Casey & Mary, The Garhauer lift installation looks great! How tall is the vertical support bar and how long is the horizontal lift arm? Which Garhauer part number did you use? Is it easy to setup, remove, and stow when underway? Where do you stow it on board between uses? I like it!

    32 foot Nimble Wanderer

I believe I saw that Wanderer--or one that looked very much like it--anchored at Juana's in Navarre, FL, last year. It is a beautiful little boat. I cruised through Destin harbor just tonight. It was a gorgeous night to be out on the water. I'll look for you around Destin in your new 25...

    Not C-Dory related sort of

I have two nests and I am really happy with them. One is a Gen 1 that I got when they first came out. I put it on the downstairs heat pump to check it out. I liked it so much that I bought a second one for upstairs when the 2nd generation came out. I don't really notice much difference between...

    2013 C-Brat Calendar

Sam, I appreciate your willingness to put it together again this year. I was just wondering yesterday if there would be one for 2013. The last two have been outstanding.

Lifting an 85# Kayak to the rooftop (Ideas needed)

We, too, have a Hobie Mirage Tandem. I slide it up over the side of the bow pulpit, pivot it around, and then slide it up on the roof racks. It is a bit of a chore. I have considered mounting a Garhauer lifting davit http://garhauermarine.com/catalog_process.cfm?cid=41 on the rail. I have seen...

    Garmin for iPhones and iPad's

I purchased it yesterday, and so far I like its features. I plan to give it an on-the-water test this weekend. The only thing that I have found tha I may not like is that there doesn't appear to be a night color scheme mode. I wrote to Garmin about that. I'll reserve final judgement until after...

    Interesting Boat

I ran across this boat while surfing Craigslist. It has many C-Dory-like traits. From the description in the ad, it sounds like it is seaworthy--even if the operator was a little nuts. http://pensacola.craigslist.org/boa/3429127649.html

    Antifouling paint

I used Micron on my Corsair trailerable trimaran. It did rub off easily, both in and out of the water. That is one of the reasons that I went with the harder Vivid on the C-Dory. The Vivid still rubs off some, but not as much as the Micron did. When ours was done, the mold wax was removed and...

    Antifouling paint

Judith and Paul, We keep our boat in a saltwater wet slip most of the time, but have it on the trailer sometimes for extended periods. With this in mind, I chose Vivid antifouling paint (over an epoxy barrier coat). Vivid is a hard ablative paint that tolerates both wet storage and dry storage...

    Great Loop Boat

We bought our 26 Venture with the plan to do the loop some day (there is a couple from New Mexico planning to start the loop this fall in a 26V). I think that it meets all of your priorities, but first, I'm biased by owning one, and second, boats are really a personal compromise; you have to...

    Sam's Big Adventure

Thought I would bring this back up to the top. Sam just posted four more days on his blog. Great picture of a bear swimming behind his boat!
