I put in a new filter and ran it around for .9 hr. Immediate improvement so I went back an bought another filter to have as an onboard backup. I'll try to get through the rest of the season and address taking out and cleaning the tanks over the winter.

Milehog: I'm using that type filter unfortunately, it's tucked away
in the starboard lazarette and the clear bowl is pretty much obscured from
sight.

I drained a sample from the Racor fuel filter this afternoon.
Any ideas as to what the golden brown crud is? :cry

There's been lots of posts about how these boats handle in rough waters. I'll add that you would be wise to buy one with, or add, hydraulic steering. This will be my winter project. BTW: I'm told it also makes docking far easier :thup
It seems to me they sell the tires with the easy read numbers to the twenty somethings and all that's left for the seniors, like me, are the tires with the unreadable numbers :lol:
