    Yamaha 50 control cable installation

Can anyone direct me to a thread or provide advice on de-instlalling and installing control cables on a CD22? I have a 2003 with twin Yamaha 50 4 strokes. I can disconnect the old cables at the motor without a problem, but not sure at the helm where the cables are routed through the cabinetry...

Can anyone recommend a good solvent to remove bottom paint. I believe the bottom paint type I have is the non ablative finish. Rather than sanding or grinding, I am hoping there is an easier way to remove without damaging the gelcoat. Any comments or recommedations would be appreciated...

I should have started a new thread instead of adding to a different topic altogether...so here goes. I have tried searching in our library, but have not found if twin 50's (what I have) or 40's require two separate fuel filter/separators or just one adequately sized one? I have a Racor...

    Twin Honda Prop Request

Hello All Twin Honda 50 Owners: I know there are a lot of you out there and since there are so few twin 50 Yamaha owners (which I am one), I need some advice. On my CD 22, I am running 14" pitch SS props, but when I test ran the motors, I found I could only get 4700 RPM's which my mechanic...

    Twin Yamaha 50's

Hello, I am somewhat new to this forum and have twin 2003 carb 50 4 stroke Yami's with 14" ss props on a CD22. I took my boat for a test run last week for the first time and saw that my max rpm was 4700 rpm, somewhat below the recommended 5000 - 6000 rpm. I have the normal load of fuel (50...
