Cost to repower a 22 Cruiser in 2017

I repowered Sealife last year with new twin Suzuki 50s, white. They look great and give super good mileage. I was able to use previous binnacle and control cables....roughly $12,000-13,000 including removing old and installing new.

Water flow from water tank is weak

Operating foot pump, the water flow is very weak. I use this very little and suspect, since the boat is 10 years old, that some sediment might be clogging it. Anyone have a similar issue?

    Suzuki owners - question

End of a long story. Sold the good, old engine for $1800. Am getting 1.9 gph combined on the new engines, compared to about 2.3gph on the old one. Two new AGM batteries....like a new boat. Sure happy with the canvas I designed too. Because it covers all the dark blue hull color, the finish...

    Suzuki owners - question

Down the road 20 hour maintenance. New engines run great. Fuel economy is even better than previous engines. Unhappy with engines raised a notch. Bow high, hard to see over it, and slight vibration. Had them lower to previous engine notch, and big difference. Rides just like previous...

    Suzuki owners - question

As I said in my last post, I was taking the dealer to court. I filed in small claims court for all my repair costs, and the value of both damaged engines. His insurance company made one ridiculous offer to settle, which I refused, and weeks later settled with me for what I wanted...

    2004 Marineco/AFI wiper blade refills?

Thanks Steve Baum. You once againproved the value of C-Brats forum. I went straight to my local Napa store and bought two sets of wiper blades, parts #60-1233. They were the exact OEP replacement.

    15th Annual Catalina Off-Shore Adventure

Hey, I think I'm going to join in again this year. Two new engines on Sealife need some cruising hours, and Muffy and I need some R&R. Look forward to seeing old and new friends.

    Suzuki owners - question

Here's the story: Overheat light would come on. First dealer checked pump and said it not that so it has to be a water restriction in the power head. Tore down the power head and still had the problem. Dealer could not figure out the problem, suggested running without thermostat to increase...

    Suzuki owners - question

Two new 2016 Suzuki DF50 engines on Sealife, new white color. Looks great. When the shop installed them, they took it upon themselves to raise them two notches higher. My original engines were installed at the old C-Dory factory, and I'm wondering if they had them lower from experience? My...

    Suzuki owners - question

To CBGALE: Yes, Browns does show them, proving they are there, but the Suzuki Maintenance Manual does not, but it should. My engines have been babied, and well maintained. They should last well beyond 1000 hours. I agree that a non-confrontational approach may be best, and I plan to try that...

    Suzuki owners - question

Marc et al, I have already spent $3000 in "forensic" tear downs trying to find the source of the temp alarm going off without the engine actually overheating, but on the last sea trial, it suddenly blew with the check engine light coming on. On checking the oil, it was full of water. Probably...

    Suzuki owners - question

I have twin DF - 50 Suzuki outboards 2005 and have discovered after almost 1000 hours that they have internal anodes that should have been checked and replaced long ago. My servicing mechanic was unaware of them, and believe it or not, there is absolutely no mention of them anywheres in the...

    Running without thermostats

Ran the boat for about 5 miles at 4800 rpms. Ran great. Then the Check Engine light came on, and rev limiter on same starboard engine I spent the big bucks on.. Put into neutral, then turned off the engine. Restarted immediately with no problem, with all lights out. Ran all the way back...
