    Boat transport

We’ve trailered our boat various places over the years but lately it’s getting more stressful and tiring. Do any C-brats know a good boat transport company on the east coast? We’re in Florida and hope to cruise the thousand island area in august.

    Any cons to camper back?

We’re cruising the Erie Canal and lake Champlain and the camper back gives a lot of extra covered space but when we’re home and in fishing mode it’s stored on land.Cruising yes fishing no.

    Out dated Flares

We had some expired very pistol flares and decided to shoot them off. We live on a farm with no close neighbors and shot them over the pond. We were surprised to find that none of them functioned properly. We keep track of expiration dates but this was an eye opener.

    Big Blow On Lake Superior

We cruised the Apostles a while back and have to admit we were a little intimidated by Lake Superior. Even in summer it can get rough real quick and in the unlikely event that we wound up in the water hypothermia probably wouldn't take long. We were watching weather closely. You have an area...

2006 Honda 135 conks out intermittently

Our 2006 Honda 135 dies intermittently at low and high RPMS. It can run for hours without a problem and then die. Won't start back up immediately but if you wait a little while starts back up and then could run for hours or a short time.it has 1850 hrs and has been serviced regularly. Computer...

    The marina at Ortega landing

We've been cruising the St John's and anchor most nights. We pulled into this marina on the Ortega river and are getting spoiled real fast. Proposal for a St.Andrews Bay Rendezvous (PC FL)

We'd be interested in a rendezvous in the area. We are cruising the St John's river this month but we keep the boat at the PC marina. Maybe in spring or fall?

    Cruising on Erie Canal

I probably shouldn't be too concerned about it. Many of my engine's 1640 hrs have been slow cruising, slow trolling and drift fishing with the engine idling and don't burn oil and have never had milky oil or other problems.

    Cruising on Erie Canal

We seem to be slowing down on our cruising lately. When cruising theTenn river in Oct we stayed mostly at about 5 knots. Its a Honda 150 with fuel injection. How long a stretch can we cruise at about 12-1400 rpm without engine damage? We are cruising the St. John's shortly and thought about...

    100W solar panel

Looks like a good deal. Do I need a charge controller if it's on the boat batteries?

Revision of economic impact of Recreational fishing industry

From what I've read the 9 day season was the result of a suit by the environmental defence fund with the backing of commercial fisherman. If the stocks are so low, why let commercial fisherman continue their same harvest?

    Kissimmee River Cruise, Central FL

It's always been amusing to me that the Army Corp got paid to straighten the Kissimmee and now they're getting paid to try to put it back the way it was. That's a smart government agency! Fish eating creek is the only natural inflow to the big lake and it's beautiful. Wouldn't be good for a C...

We used the same technique for our 17.5 kayak. Did the Loop with it on top with no problem. Now we carry two the same way. Keep it simple.

Water leak in hull- forces winter projects: advice needed

If you are thinking of cutting in v-berth hatches, do it. It is a dirty job, but totally worth the effort if you spend lots of time aboard your C-Dory. -Tim CPelican I did the cut today and got all the foam out. Of course in my case they did a perfect job of filling all the space with foam...

Water leak in hull- forces winter projects: advice needed

I'm going to attempt to put a hatch for storage in our V berth also. Has anyone had a problem with hatches ( which I assume are somewhat higher ) making the bunk mattress less comfortable? Probably not an issue but curious. Alan
