Janet here... Who's up for a March get together at Poulsbo? We're thinking the weekend of March 10 - 12 if that works for everyone. We can reserve slips at the marina, ($15 per night) if we have 15 boats. Here's the link for details on the marina:

Doesn't that sound like fun?

Ruthi & Big Dave and Raven Dancer would love to go, since we won't be able to attend the Cathlament trip.
What do we need to do, as we never have been to a gathering before.
Big Dave.

Janet - you already know we're there!

Big Dave - you don't need to do anything except respond and then show up, and if they have an event sign up page (Mike or Bill - pretty please!), it is nice if you sign up. Just watch this thread for the details as they evolve.

We are good for the weekend of the 11th even though there is a Crab Feed we have to help with at Tacoma Outboard Association... maybe we all ought have dinner there!!

dagnabit, the new boat won't be ready til the following week....sure would like to, but it's gotta be re-rigged too, so maybe next time...have a glass of wine for us, eh? :)

Can't make 'er that weekend, but without viewing the rest of the family schedule, 3/24 - 3/26 shows some promise. (They're not home at the moment). Let you know later tonight.

P.S. All last year the slip cost was $15. per vessel whether it was one vessel or 20 vessels.

Count the SusanE in for that trip. we have not been down there by boat so it will be new and exciting for us. I will have to check and see whats open for fishing at that time. Might have to have a pot luck fishing tournament. everyone tosses in a lure to the pot and big fish wins? let me know if any one else in interested.

Great destination - Linda's already trying to figure out which restaurant we'll choose for dinner. We may be booked Saturday, if so we would run over in the late afternoon

Dave of Sea Shift, does 24-26 work for you? It would work better for us. How about the rest of the group? Either date we are planning on being there. The last time for us at a gathering was Lopez, (other than the Seattle Boat Show) so we are really looking forward to it!

Don and Dee

Don and Dee, yes it does, but it appears that the 3/10-3/12 will work best for others, so we'll just catch up at another time.

Some time this spring or early summer I'll try to get some dates together for a gathering at the Everett Marina. I found out at the boat show that they have a party barge with BBQs available for group usage.

LunaC Janet, thanks for firing up our new '06 schedule and getting 'er running. Poulsbo's a great choice. If the weather's cooperative I'll sure be there. If not, there's always the ferry.

Luna C Ruth & and I are going to try and be at Poulsbo for our first get together.
Do I need to get my own slip through the marina or will we be assigned a slip with the group ? Also is there a boat launch there ?
Look forward to memeetingveryone.......Big Dave, Raven Dancer.

What about it, Janet - do we need reservations, or are we just going to show up?

Okay, sitting over here on Maui looking out across the ocean plotting a course from Guemes to Poulsbo. Looks like about 5 hours at 14 MPH. If the boat launch is not piled high again with driftwood I will be there for the week-end. Leave Fri. Anyone else leaving from the Anacortes area?

We will be leaving from everret . Which way will you go down? the west or east side of whidby island?

Tom, its's an easy run from Everett. Just head south like you're going to Seattle, hang a right just around the point beyond Kingston, cruise between Indianola and Bainbridge Island, go south under the Fay Bainbridge bridge, then hang a right a bit further down and you're in Poulsbo. (Unfortunately, my chart/map isn't in front of me, so you'll have to go with these "backwoods directions" until someone else chimes in or I get a chart/map). On a "flat sea day" you'll be there in an hour and a half easily.

Thanks dave.I tooka look and know how to get there.I was wandering if Anna Leigh was coming my way or going down the out side of whidby? Dave are you going?

Admiralty Inlet is a more direct route, but Saratoga Passage is a MUCH better choice unless the water is really flat - you can get your fillings knocked loose out there (like we did coming back from Sequim to Everett...)
