Another question: Would any C-Brats be interested in another visit to Poulsbo in March? I would be happy to make arrangements!

janet – I would be interested in any gathering in Washington or Northern Oregon. I would like to see more scheduled than there has been in the past. With the membership we have, I believe we can support more than has been in the past. Maybe a few large gatherings in the year, then lots of smaller ones. It would give more members a chance to make a gathering.

All of the above sounds great. janet, susan and I would love to go back to poulsboro. That was a really fun place. Would have liked to look around some more.

Chris and Janet, we think the a return to Poulsbo would be great in March too, just like last year! We are good for just one weekend though, the 24-25.

Lopez for Opening day is a traditional thing of course. so yes David and Fred that works too. The Lopez Island Yacht Club would problably miss the C-Brats if we didn't show up.

Now Dock Street in Tacoma, I'll check on dates open with them i.e. April 7, which is Easter weekend ,but C-brats have had CBGT's then too also the 14th, 28th,
We might consider later in the year like after Bellingham and before the Sequim Fling, or even a later time. Heck We are open to any idea on this.

I liked the idea of Tacoma, and also Poulsbo. I have found Poulsbo a friendly and receptive harbor. Sounds good to me, if it is not the weekend of March 18.

Hi again and happy Friday!
I spoke with the harbormaster today and there is room for us on the weekend of March 24! He will be sending me the reservation form which I will fill out and send in. So let me know if you are able to join us! I told him that there will probably be about 15 - 20 boats, so let's see if I was right! :D

So we're ready to put this one in the books and make a signup? Who should we list as Cruise Director (it's an honorary title - no powers or cash or anything).

We really enjoyed Poulsbo, and you guys did a great job! We will mark it down on the calendar!

Jim and Laurie - we would love to do a CBGT down that way, too bad Tacoma didn't work out. Gig Harbor is great, we have stayed at Arabella's once, a winter cruise and we thought Jerisich would probably be open - wrong! Weekend of the Christmas Boat parade, and we got the last slip at Arabella's, and lucky at that. Maybe Swantown again? Or Jarrell Cove? Just pick a spot and a date!

We have just found out that Dock Street marina is booked for this weekend. If anyone else has an idea as to another place please let us know. Our possibilities are Arabella's in Gig Harbor, or Dockton State Park and Quarter Master Harbor on Vashon Island. We will keep working on this. Another thing we can do is maybe change the weekend. What does everyone think?

Looks like the Spring Fling will be in Pouslbo, good choice, and we will do an early Fall Fling in Tacoma ,September 14-15-16.
Considering the bookings at Dock Street, which really has gotten discovered by the Clubs out there, September would be a prime time, good weather, less crowded , more fun.
We decided this because we weren't sure of the interest for the weekend of April 7, due to that being Easter.

The Spring Fling is on in Poulsbo!!!
Thanks for setting up Poulsob, Janet!!

I would love to be the honorary Cruise Director! (I've heard that the position involves accepting beverages from those in attendance! :beer )

Yes it does involve that, Janet, just as it involves sharing of same. Thanks for taking on this staggering responsibility.

This Pouslbo thing sort of took on a life of its own, so I felt it deserving of its own thread and spun it off to here. This way, J&L might still feel compelled to work on the Spring Fling the following month.

Signup is there (note the Group Moderator/Cruise Director) and it should be showing up on the front page list. A list which is, by the way, starting to look pretty good!

Cathy and I took a little drive today up to the charming town of Poulsbo, we wanted to see what the boat launches in the area looked like.
Our map shows two in the harbor area. We found one, it looks good if you have a very small boat and no trailer.
When we asked a very nice person in a local restaurant she told me to go to Brownsvill. It's about 20 minuets away and has a double launch and a huge parking area. The sign says that it's only $2 to launch and park for a maximum of 72 hours.

We should be in for this one, going to mexico the following week, but should still be able to squeeze this one in. Looking forward to it.
