05/13 - 05/16 - Friday Harbor CBGT 2021

Boy, what a fun time last weekend! We couldn't have gotten better weather. Joanie & I really enjoyed the CBGT and seeing old and meeting new friends.
Harvey did a great job organizing.

We got our new boat inspected (It passed - yay! :D ) But Pan-A-C'ya still needs to be Christened! Pat; Let's meet at Sucia soon and you can perform your magic blessings on her. It worked so well with C-Sharp and we only had safe journeys and never a problem.

Looking forward to seeing you all out on the water, and to the next CBGT!

Tango and I sure enjoyed meeting everyone and exploring the San Juan's for the first time. We will be back! I posted a few photos in the Friday Harbor 2021 album.

Thanks to all who it made it a great success. I love this group. No dues, no officers, no agenda just boaters with common interests sharing times and stories with each other. I never met a C-brat I did not like.

We as many know we sold our boat, Baxter II ,as age and infirmities have caught up with us.

But, you may see us in 2022 as I found they have campgrounds on island and we have a Casita Camper, Just saying.

Safe travels, Craig and Marigene

Let's plan on it! With Daydream at the marina, no need to launch and retrieve, it is so easy to head out now!

Special thanks to Harvey for making this years FH event take place. We had a great time and also posted some photos and a video to the Friday Harbor 2021 album.

Thank you to everyone for making the weekend eventful and meaningful. My family felt welcomed from the moment we arrived on Friday morning to preparing to venture into the fog on Sunday morning. Please count us in for next year and hopefully we will enjoy some of you on a dock this summer and fall. Brock, Eva, Nicha & Chewie

Wondering if there have been any preplans made for a 2022 gathering? I'd like to bring C-Traveler out this year and visit with my brother in the Seattle area. If it works out, I'm looking for possibly sometime in May or June. So not saying I would make the gathering, but would like to know what specific time frame the gathering would be held. Colby

Hi Colby,

Yes, the annual FHCBGT will be happening in May of 2022.

On January 2nd, I will call the Port of Friday Harbor and request reservations for Thursday, May 12th through Sunday at noon of May, 15th. My hope is that we have the entire G-Dock reserved for the event. Last year I saw only 2 non C-Brat boats on G-Dock. It was special to see 28 C-Dory boats lined up in a row plus some overflow boats on H-Dock.

Hope you will be able to attend. Gary.

Colby, Glad to see you are going to try and make the FH-CBGT this coming year, (WOW, that starts in 2 weeks

I am planning on doing the Run for the Wall XXXII this summer and will be on the road in the opposite direction from yours come May. For that reason, I am bowing out on the FH-CBGT and Gary (Daybreak) has graciously consented to take the reins for this year. I am going to miss that gig for sure. But this is pretty much a once in a life time opportunity so unless something happens to change my plans, ( ahh yea, there could still be Covid and restrictions and ??? so . . . . . ), maybe, I will be on 2 wheels for a while this summer.

Thanks so much to Gary and Colleen for their support. I know they will do a great job and I also know the rest of the C-BRAT community will be there in full support. Thanks so much to all for the support. This is a really great and special family.

Harvey
