2004 California Ocean Regs

The DFG is trying to stick it to us again- :amgry :amgry
Our current regs allow for the take of ling cod- 2 over 24". They are wanting to change that to 1 over 30"!!! now that pisses me off because most of the lings over 30" are females. Can you believe the state wants us to deplete out best brood stock? We have a letter campaign at
http://www.allcoastsportfishing.com/dcf ... 15669.html - if you are in California, please join us!!!

edit-- we lost big time--- limit is now 1 fish over 30"

Dept of Fun & Games is at it again-
Received notice in my email that there are several significant in season changes for ocean rock fishing --- again

Got to have a law degree just to read it! The good news is that MINIMUM size is 32" and there are lots of big ones out there!!

Charlie, after reading the epistle from the Commonwealth of Virginia, I remember why I quit fishing in salt water. Many & I mean many years ago my Dad's brother had a farm on the Chinkiteague Bay (spelling? ) I can remember fishing for stripers when huge schools would break water like minnows.

Update for those of us that fish saltwater in California-- DFG has opened up the rock fishing in waters less than 360' in the southern area starting April 16.
