2005 25 Cruiser ignition wire location

I am trying to install a Minn Kota mk dc3 battery charger. Installation requires you tie into the ignition wire. I am having a hard time locating the supposedly purple ignition wire. My 25 was re-wired so the batteries are stored under the dinette. Would the ignition wire not be tuned to the batteries? Any ideas?

I would tie into the ignition wire (I assume they want the "hot" when running, so it charges off the motor.) behind the dash. Use your digital volt meter to be sure you have the proper wire. The wire from the battery charger is low current, because it only kicks in a relay or solid state diode to have the 3 bank charger "on" when the engine is putting out 12 V DC from its alternator.

This could use as much as 30 amps--so double check what the alternator output of your engine is. You need power for running the engine, and for keeping the house batteries charged.
