2008 Marinaut 26

Greetings!

Just joining the discussion group. We're looking at a 2008 Marinaut 26. Looks like the C-Dory Venture. I don't see any listings for these boats and wondered if there are any owners about?

It is basically a Venture 26. The Cape Cruiser 26 was called a Marinaut. What I question is if that boat was built in 2008--if it was, it was either the last boat cape cruiser built, or one which was finished out by C Dory, after the law suit. The HIN will tell. Find out the HIN. It will tell you not only who built the boat--and when it was started. It could be that the boat was a "2008" model, but started in 2007. By Sea Wolf in 2008
Your advertising source probably has a couple of Cape Cruiser 26's that were built by Ben Toland a few years back, and has chosen to give them the Marinaut designation.

The Cape Cruiser 23 and 26 are well built boats, but a court suit brought by C-Dory's last owners a few years ago, cited infringement of the C-Dory design that forced Cape Cruiser to quit building and turn over the molds to C-Dory. C-Dory is now building the Venture 23 and 26 out of those molds with an ungraded, more luxurious interior.
