For those who know me, it may be hard to believe but somehow I found a woman who could tolerate me for 33 years of marriage. Here's an image of said lovely woman as the falls at the end of Princess Louisa Inlet. Obviously, I married better than she did.
Congrats to you both. To me, that's quite an accomplishment. I tried it twice and enjoyed it both times. I guess they didn't. (Think it is me?) At this point in my life I envy you couples with good marriages.
All men, and I mean ALL men marry UP. It's just the way it is. I married up 50 years ago in June. I'd have been a burned out pot smoking womanizer, booze head broken fellow and been dead and buried long ago had I been left to my own devices.
I found my best friend when I met El -- and we have been best friends ever since. What a marvelous 55 years we have shared. We're lucky, Roger, to have such wonderful companions with whom to share our lives.
Congratulations, and best wishes for many more years together. Sounds like you two are on the same page. It takes commitment, both to make it work and to share, and that makes it good. We all know every day is not perfect, but every day should include the renewal of that commitment, and with that there will be many more anniversaries. You are doing great, enjoy the sharing.
Congrats! But you are still short timers! Married 46 years, as we say 44 damn years and two good ones! Not saying which ones were the good ones! But seriously, a major accomplishment!
