I pulled the bilge pumps today for cleaning. The front bilge pump was clued in place no screws. the back pump was nailed in with a 8p nail. I hope these were replaced sometime after factory install. Also can someone send me kings marine contact info for boat cover. thanks
 
In 04 the factory only installed the forward bilge pumps. Some 04s had the Rules that turned on every few minutes but most were switched over to have the built in float switch. You shoul be able to separate the larger top part of the pump from the glued in screen part. The stern pump is after market and you should fix the hole. This is AFAIK.

n 8 penny nail is 2 1/2" long! I would drill out the hole, and check for water in the core. The hull needs to be dried and then epoxy fill of the nole.

My 1992 C Dory had only the rear builge pump.
