A nice tow vehicle with C-Dory-like KISS principles.

This is an interesting concept. Some very innovative design work for sure.

The entire story (with photos) can be found here.

My first thought was "where do you store consumables?"

It is interesting, but I don’t think I would want one.

Ditto...

A camper for the truck is something we've considered, but I don't see any significant benefit to this over a good popup, and a few shortcomings.

Four Wheel Campers makes some nice units. The Grandby weighs the same as the Quickup (795 vs. 800), has separate sleeping quarters over the cab (no conversion of table necessary), and you can load things on top (up to 1,000 lbs.). The only advantage this fold-out has that I can see, is height - it adds none. But...a popup only adds about 10", which still allows it to fit most places.

Four Wheel's new Keystone model adds only 250 lbs., but gives you another 1' of space, and includes a shower.

Just not seeing a benefit to this thing, but details are pretty scarce.

The man has nice credentials (mostly by association with Buckminster Fuller, which he is not), but the concept only goes so far and doesn't represent a big breakthrough. Interesting, but no cigar. Joe.

cool, as a working poor person, we could live in that as we invade the elite class hideouts.
Neat idea, I'd opt for the Four Wheel Camper or Alaskan
