A Surreal C Brat Moment

I will try and make it short. Valerie and I were in Vancouver for a couple of days last weekend for the boat show. Just hanging and spent all day Saturday at the show. After about four hours we decided to sit and have a beer and a bite to eat. We had just bought a couple of new auto inflate PFD's and were having a look at them when we saw a fellow walking around with one on. Made a quick comment as he passed so he stopped. It was a bit of a draw. Mustang only gave out 16 and if your number was called it was yours.. Cool Pro Mo. Any how conversation came around to what kind of boats we had. Valerie says we have a 22 C dory. Blank face he said I have a 23 C Dory. Turned out that it was Chimo from Sidney who we had met before at the Sidney gathering a couple of years ago and I apologize there was no recongization and we did not exchange names. Point is who would of thunk of all the hundreds of people at a show and in a passing moment in a big city a fellow C Brat sits at the table.

My apologies that I didn't recognize you immediately! I didn't win the life jacket but I met some great people because I wore it around the show.

Really enjoyed the show and would still swap my Venture for a 24 Cutwater. Only 100,000 CDN stands between me and a dream. 😢

We were at the show on Saturday also....would have enjoyed talking to you. I Should have worn a C-Dory hat or something.......oh well. I was most impressed with the new Ranger Tug 23! Nice boat, but 150k CDN! !
