Alaska Canvas & Shrink Wrap Recommendations

Hi, just seeing if anyone has any recommendations for a local canvas shop in the Anchorage or Kenai area. I am looking for the slanted cockpit cover to keep the rain and leaves out while it’s kept in my driveway for the summer.

Also I am planning on having the boat shrink wrapped for the winter, are there any companies you guys have used in the past that you would/would not recommend.

I was hoping to store it indoors at the state fair but there is over 40 people on the waiting list so doesn’t look like that will happen this year.

We bought our boat in Whitehorse, Yukon. We decided not to bring her home for the winter. Instead we picked her up in the spring and did some cruising on Atlin and Tagish lakes. We stored the boat at Yukon Yamaha in Whitehorse. The installed the shrink wrap and stored it in their locked yard for the winter. We have no complaints about the wrapping and the service they provided.
 
I had my 26' C-Dory shrink wrapped last fall. He came to my house in Ninilchik, Alaska and shrink wrapped my boat in about 1 1/2 hrs by himself. He did an excellent job. $440 USD

My son and I removed it this past spring saving all of the materials. I believe we can reinstall it this fall ourselves. It had 6 vents in it to prevent moisture in the boat.

Thanks for the info, did you guys leave any cabin windows cracked open in order for moisture to escape the cabin area? I had never thought about saving the shrink wrap for following years, please let me know how well that works. Will you be sealing it again with a heat gun or taping it?

Jack, good luck with reusing the old wrap. It's possible but not easy.
