Beer, Bikes, Brat

For some reason I couldn't see the picture but only hear the sound track. But that was enough to tell me he's a neat guy - I like his philosophy about the "little" things :thup Makes me wish I were a beer drinker (I've been thinking that often this year as I read about so many local/craft breweries, and think it would be fun to try them).

Marty, that is way cool.

Maybe you can talk Pat into doing a beer commercial featuring you back-splicing an 8-plait rope-to-chain anchor rode.

Joe and I both agree that his ability is due to"good genes" on his maternal side. Dotty's dad was a skilled machinist and her brother, Conrad Oho, was a legendary recumbant bike builder in the SF bay area. As far as Pat's beer commercial, I think it should feature the superb attributes of the sixteen footer as a metaphor for his superior quality micro brew.

Hi Marty,

That's pretty nifty. (I just sent a link to Elen, she will enjoy it too,)

Especially nice to know his Dad.

Hi, Marty and C-Guys.

The piece was short but very well done. Thanks for sharing it with us. That's a beautiful, probably titanium bike with a sublime ride and comely shape--real sex appeal if you're a biker! The beer, I'm not sure. I'll stick with Snoqualmie Falls.

Brock! Where have you been? We were just wondering about you at our dinner gathering of C-Brats in Sequim last week. Nov. 2011 was your last post! Hope to see you on here more often than that.

Marty, excellent commercial! As a mechanic I appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into a quality built bike. Years ago an Italian fellow that I worked with showed me some of the differences between a Walmart $99.99 special and a quality build. As I recall he rode a Bianci - said it had won several world races.

We have a lot of micro brew houses here in south western Ontario. I try to support them - not all are available at the beer store but most restaurants have one on tap. We hold some of our power squadron functions at a local micro brewery - problem being our guests love the venue and we end up selling out tickets and have to turn people away.

Regards, Rob
