Primarily for my little nephew Pat's beer file, ya gotta try substituting beer for water in your favorite pancake batter. I use Dos Equis XX Amber simply because it's available and Pat's finest doesn't make it this far south. I can only imagine a short stack made with Snoqualamie. What a way to start your day!!!!

It's probably best to wash those pancakes down with the beer that didn't go into the batter (or a mimosa).

Uncle, I'm lunching in the Taproom right now, looking at our fine sign: "Beer - It's not just for breakfast any more!" I have used beer batter for fish and chips but not pancakes - might have to try that, or maybe waffles...

I'm thinking Snoqualmie Falls Haystack Hefeweisen, which is a wheat beer for those of your not familiar with it.

beer pancakes...very good. Another thing to try in the mix is that flavored water. I bought a bottle of that swill once thinking it was just bottled water, took a big swig...arg

Now that is a new twist. I'm sure the alcohol is all cooked out by the time you eat the pancakes, right?, but if it is all the same to you all, I'll stick with my chocolate chips, peanuts and banana chunks, covered with caramel or chocolate topping over fresh strawberries, for desert at least.
