Some of you have expressed interest in the work that we've been doing on our new boat. I've put some pictures in a new album in our Bess-C pictures that show the boat before and after the addition of the radar arch, roof over the sundeck and full canvas. She is presently out of the water for new bottom paint, zincs and a stern thruster.

Hi Lyle,
You have a handsome boat! It looks like it is an Ed Monk Design. The roof on the aft cabin looks large enough for a 14' C-Dory tender!

Best Regards,
Leo

Thanks Leo,

I still remember your 18 Toland. I called you about it years ago before we bought our 25 C-Dory. I liked that boat then and I still like it.

Yes, it is an Ed Monk, Jr design. It was built using the molds from the original 43 Tolly and stretching them 3' in the stern to increase the cockpit size.

Hi Bob,

The power is a 270 hp B series Cummins. The boat cruises happily at 9-10 knots and uses around 3 gph at 9 knots. Top is 13 knots.

I've got some interior pictures and an engine room picture that I can add.

Looks great, Lyle -- and HI to Shelley. You will really enjoy the thruster. We have a stern thruster on our 26 Tolly -- makes a tough chore docking in cross-wind a no-brainer.

Again, a beautiful boat.

Lyle,

Beautiful boat. Love the Ed Monk look, and sure it is a sturdy design. And just wondering how much water you had to add to the CD 25 to get it to grow that big :wink

Dusty, from the pictures and description,I think your Tolly is one of the nicest 26's that I've seen. Our boat really walks hard to starboard in reverse, makes it tough to dock on a port side tie. Hopefully the stern thruster will solve that problem.

Harvey, no water, just takes a little more insanity than a 25.
