Boat Covers

Has anyone found an "Off-The-Shelf" storage cover that provides a reasonable fit for a 25" C-Dory (on trailer). I am weary of paying for shrink wrap each year.

Triple J came with a Sunbrella top from the factory, and it’s my understanding that the outfit who manufactured the tops for C-dory can make one for most all C-dory models. Hopefully someone here will have a contact number.
Last winter Triple J was stored at my in-laws house, an intensely wet location not far from Seattle; the boat stayed as dry as a bone.
You can see how it looks in my album.
The initial cost is high but I’m told by my upholstery friend there is no better material on the market. He said you just have to apply this special spray every few years to maintain its waterproof integrity.

If you want to go the cheap way, Harbor Freight has a 20'X30' canvas, for $150 Harbor Freight Canvas . It nicely covers a C-25, with radar arch & radar. It's ideal for So Cal, and it's fairly heavy canvas. It has lasted for 2 years. The only problem is that several grommets have pulled out in the last Santa Anas. However I did get a cheap grommet install kit and fixed that.

I use nylon rope to tie it down to the trailer. I also built a box to protect the radar when the boat is covered, and put a drain hole in for water. We don't get snow.

I just purchased two canvas tarps I am very very happy with. Solid construction and they fit perfectly. I just finished sewing the 6'x8' section to the 20'x30' section. I could not have asked for a better fit honestly for a commercial off the shelf product. I have links on the page and a description with the model numbers, as well. I bought 40' of bungee cord and bungee cord ends and cut the bungee cord to length. I'm going to do a couple of other things when I have time - like cut the excess off the bow area and stitch, and place a commercial construction zipper on the starboard side to gain entry. Aside from that - that's it.

The canvas is UV protected, I used UV thread on my own stitching, and the grommets are splayed grommets which grab the material better than the rounded grommets.
