C-Brats app

When will we see a C-Brats app? I do not own a computer and frequent the site with my phone. It’s kind of a pain to operate on a phone. [/list]

From the other side of the fence, I use my laptop 98% of the time and do very little other than street routing on my phone. I do use a Samsung tablet for C-BRAT site access on rare occasions -- the other 2% on my time here.

What would a C-BRATS app do?

You should be able to upload a photo from your I phone. Open the photo album, then click on "action"; "upload photos, then select the photos and upload.

I also don't understand what an "app" would do for our world. I find a computer much faster and the screen size and resolution are far better than a phone...

It would be nice if the site worked on a app like “Tapatalk”. It would simplify picture posting and would just work better on mobile devices.

Tapatalk is a plugin available to install on phpBB.

Even without installing tapatalk, the entire site would be more usable on a mobile if the CSS is fixed.
phpBB should automatically be adaptive to different size screens, but the CSS rules are forcing the site to not wrap and break on mobile browsers.

On our three month SE Alaska cruise in 2012 we stopped in Sitka & went to the library to use the high speed Internet. I was using a Dell notebook computer then for accessing C-Brats & all else on the internet. While using the computer it went into a systems update that continued past the closing of the library, so I had to shut it down, which ruined it. Since then near 100% of my post on C-Brats have been on either a iPad or iPhone. Other then including a photo from a C-Brat album in a C-Brat thread post, I prefer using the iPad to a computer & found through a sharing from Tyboo Mike, if I use Chrome on the iPad or iPhone the photo from album to post, can be done too.

Maybe an App for C-Brats would work wonderful for the Apple products, but also way more work for return to set up than Danag & Tyboo want to do. I’m just glad we have the present C-Brat site set up the way it is & thankful Bill & Mike provide this platform for us.
