C-Dory 22' Cruiser Trailer manufacturer

I am in the process of buying a CD 22' Cruiser and am trying to figure out the manufacturer of the trailer it is on.

The trailer is a galvanized steel tandem wheel unit with a hard to read logo on it that looks something like 'SETrailer'. I am more confident about the first three letters (SET) than the remainder.

Any ideas??? :?

There should be a VIN number on the trailer. You should be able to identify the manufacturer from that. Mine is an EZ-Loader, other manufacturer names I recall seeing on the site include King, Pacific, Magic Tilt.

Got a picture? EZ loader is another common one but "SET" doesn't ring a bell.

Just googled <SE Trailers> and came up with"Featherlite of Tennessee, aka SE Trailers. Didn't see a boat trailer on their web page but lots of others. Maybe an older one?

I would think the owner's vehicle registration card or the title would give a clue as to who manufactured the trailer.

There are a lot of "shade tree" trailer builders. Some are very good, but many trailers use standard axels, wheels, brakes, hitch etc--and there are companies who build the rails, so they are bolted together.

The EZ could be similar to SE---and that may be what you have. But if you need parts any trailer store will have what you need, they are not manufacture specific. For example we have several stores in Pensacola, which have all of the parts you need to build any type of trailer you want.

Just out of curiosity, would you be interested in posting a photo or two of the trailer?

In addition to logos, there are often a few brand-distinctive features that folks here might recognize. I could, for example, pick out another Magic Tilt like mine even if I couldn't see the logo. Granted, some parts are common between brands, and we might not be able to identify it, but... maybe.
