Canvas fastback?

I am trying to see if there is a place to purchase (new or used) a fast back cover for my 16 cruiser. I am not sure if I am calling it by the correct name. I have the full canvas enclosure (tent type enclosure for lack of a better word) I am looking for the one that goes back at an angle. It was called a fastback cover on an old Jeep of mine that is where I got the terminology. I know I can have one made, but I wanted to start by seeing if there is a place who have the pattern and I can purchase the product already made. I want to use this cover as a "rain watershed" when we are docked at our back yard dock.

Any input would be appreciated!

Yo,
probably best to find some local talent, King Canvas are what the previous factory people used a lot of C-brats have used them left coast=shipping charges etc. www.kingmarinecanvas.com
my advice is to get to know a decent local canvas guy, have them take advantage of any existing snaps etc. I just had one done (slant back cockpit cover) along with a generator cover and some other little odds and ends spent $575. Probably got a bit of a hosing  but he did a nice job, sunbrella seems to be the material of choice wide variety of colors available.

Given the typical cost of a camper back canvas job (around $2k), $575 for a slant back canvas sounds like a pretty good price to me.

Thanks for the info! Looks like I need to visit the marine upholster in my area. Doesn't hurt to ask, and you never know when someone has something you are looking for laying around their garage collecting dust. Just waiting for the right person to ask if they want to sell!

You have several good canvas workers in your area. If you cannot find one, I have an outstanding one in Pensacola. Definately go with some place where they can fit it to the boat.

Mine for the 22 was made by a place in Stafford VA that had never made one for a CDory before. No problems and about $300 as I recall. Of course they did my v-Berth and seat cushions at the same time too..

A "Slant Back" is the only canvas I have on my 16 as I use it primarily for a mooring cover. I did have a large window added in the back incase I ever had to run with it on.

Charles , there is a canvas shop in Mobile called Trimmer Smith . I met them at the Biloxi show a few years ago . Seemed like nice ,professional folks . Might look em up .

Thanks! I found a guy not too far from the house. Once I get an estimate, I will compare with your reference in Mobile.

Thanks again to everyone!

WOW!
$750 quote!
The way I see it I can pay for an upholstery course at the local community college, buy the materials, use the wife's sewing machine, and still make a profit at that price.
