CD-25 Cruiser ENDEAVOR Salvage Sale

Since I have now replaced ENDEAVOR with a different boat (from the same designer), I am finally ready to clear some storage space.

The salvage sale has two sections:

ENDEAVOR - Exterior Enclosure

ENDEAVOR - Interior cushions etc

Exterior - Bimini with Custom Camper Enclosure $1,800 obo with local pickup New Orleans area.
I could bring it to Hontoon

This space has greater length and height than standard. The custom three bow frame covers all the way to the transom sheltering the stern corner seats.

It does require a 25 with stern railing for mounting.

New Cadet Grey Marine Sunbrella from Sailrite with Ten Regalite windows. The two largest of which open with zipper tops & sides and a stitched bottom. When opened screen inserts with matching zipper tops and sides with Velcro bottom edges fill the space. The stern has three independent Regalite panels allowing independent access to swim platform, kicker, or motor (there is a Velcro trim piece around the motor with enough slack to maintain the thermal and insect seal even while motor moves.

The frame mounts to the hand railing on each side exactly 45.5” from the cabin back. This allows for folding forward (towing or fishing) or backwards (more open boarding).

Zippered openings by stern cleats allow dock lines to be sealed along with Mosquito netting on edges where required.

Condition: virtually new… shortly after completion the boat was destroyed en route to what would have been its first camping trip to Lake Ouachita, so there has been practically no UV exposure to the enclosure as the boat was stored in a full coverage shed.

Two cockpit corner seats cushions - $25 ea obo

A Custom wooden center filler for the V Berth $60 obo (too many hours of design and fitting)

I preferred not to use the cushions to allow for access to the V-berth storage bins. The flat wooden center filler allows me to use my memory gel foam mattress which rolls up and out of the way without the added thickness of the cushions.

Custom snap in privacy shades for cabin windows & door - $180 obo

(screw in snaps allign with the existing screws on window frames for a tight fit.
Including Custom screens for cabin side and front opening windows.

Carpet for cabin sole, step, helm and passenger stations, under dinette - $75 obo

Nice to hear from you. I’ve enjoyed following your adventures on penguin. Kudos to Roseanne for her selfless service… will miss seeing y’all at Hontoon this year. Perhaps we can do a river run sometime.

I heard from Tom & Joyce this morning… they are taking the interior cushions.

For the front shade, I used the existing center attachment point already there, but a light or anything on the cabin top could work. For the sides I was thinking nav lights but not beefy enough so I went with two 3/8 thread above the side windows aft of the corner pillars with fender washers and nut on the outside with enough extra length to almost touch the underside of the side brow overhang. The rope loops around the extra thread. On the inside, I went with a fender washer and 3/8 eye (I think they are called “lifting or hanger loops). So you end up with a ring above the side windows. I strung a line across to hang stuff inside sometime and wound up making a knotted hand grab hold on each side. I can’t find pics of it but preferred that to drilling through the exterior of the brow. These “bolts” aren’t obvious from the outside. On the aft edge I n between the rope attachments I put SNAD adhesive snaps on the underside of the brow. The ends of the three ropes attach to the bow pulpit with clove hitch knots and Velcro tab at the ends to hold the knots. Note: this is made from commercial tent tarpish type material not sunbrella.

Thanks for those photos Dale. I have never used the Snad snaps before. Is the adhesive on them really that strong? I don't think I'd have any issue running a line around my roof mounted radar (it's towards the bow), and then either around my bow mounted search light, or rig up something to go around the bow rail on each side of the search light. I am having a hard time following you on the side above the windows for attaching the cover. Is that bolt thru the bulkhead? I"m wondering if the Snad snaps would be strong enough to just go all the way out to the edge of the brow, rather than mounting a threaded bolt though the bulkhead.

The radar sounds great… anything solid and centered. I can’t find the pics of that detail. The bolt holds the tension of the side ropes, so I don’t think snaps would hold… it’s pretty strong to weather conditions.
The hole is through the cabin side but not all the way through the outer roof drip edge
The bolt goes above the side windows aft of the windshield pillar forward of the nav lights. It stops short of the drip edge and is out of sight tucked under the roof outer hang down. To compensate for strength lost by not going through the outside flange, shear strength is provided by the outer and inside fender washers with a nut on the outside leaving enough thread to hold the rope. I used a 3/8” eye on the inside (handy), but you could leave the bolt head or a nut. The large washers (with 3M 5200) make it so solid.I

I was going to look for the thousand word picture, but it was so much faster to just make a quick sketch…

The SNADS are tested to thousands of cycles… they hold. I would recommend their primer, it comes in little ampules. I marked the placement then sanded and acetoned the small circles prior to applying the primer with a q-tip. They make black white and clear

Ah, that makes sense now. Thanks for the drawing. I'd be very tempted to buy this cover from you, but I'm not sure about putting the eyebolt in there. If you get another buyer, take their money and run. lol. If you don't get it sold before or during Hontoon, let me know. I've been thinking about making something for sometime. On the 22, I had some "hooks" under the brow that I just fastened a tarp too, but it wasn't anywhere near as neat and more of a pain to set up as it was basically just a small tarp. I might be able to do some fabrication to make your cover work on my boat, but may end up making something later out of some extra material I have. Enjoy Hontoon. I'll miss it, but may be down in the area on the west coast of Florida a week or two later. And then planning west coast for mid April and the PNW for May and June. Colby
