Hi,
I am looking for recommendations for a place to make a custom cover for my C-22 cruiser and what the approximate cost would be.

Thanks,

Do a search on boat covers and you will find some info. I just ordered mine from Angola covers, they are out of Indiana. For my 22 it came out to $825 including shipping, and since I have twins, a seperate cover for each motor. it will also have a pocket for the anchor. This is made with Sunbrella. On my old boat I had ordered from Carver covers and the cover turned pink after 2 seasons. There are several pics of other Brats covers from Angola on one of thwe threads. They were great on the phone as you are actually talking to the people who will make the cover.
According to their company profile only employ about 9 people. Their lag time is 1 week. Mine should be here in a few days.

I used Harbor Canvas in Long Beach for many years. They are a well regarded dealer there. I am sure that there are some good canvas shops in the Ventura area. I did order a cover for my Road Trek from an outfit which clamied to specialize in these covers in Oxnard. They made the cover for the wrong model, even though I gave them the exact measurements. I went to have the cover modified, and the "person who did the sewing was not available, even though I had made an appointment. So I just used the cover--the workmanship and material was good, just didn't fit perfectly.

Hi Scott,

We used Peggy out of Channel Islands Canvas. She did a great job! She was recommended by Roger of C-Hawk fame. We would order some things differently now with a little more experience using the boat, but feel good about recommending her. I'll PM you with her phone number.

Scott,

In large market areas, like LA, Seattle, Bay Area, you should put your specs out there and get competitive bids. Times are tough for canvas shops and there are deals to be made. In the 90s, Bay Area shops dropped their prices by 50% or more to get the business. I suspect you could get a great deal in these tough economic times.
